ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage-Growth is a Dynamic Asset Allocation mutual fund scheme from Icici Prudential Mutual Fund. This fund has been in existence for 17 years 1 m, having been launched on 08/11/2006. ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage-Growth has ₹51,732 Crores worth of assets under management (AUM) as on 30/09/2023.
The investment objective of the fund is that " The scheme seeks to provide capital appreciation and income distribution to the investors by using equity derivatives strategies, arbitrage opportunities and pure equity investments. "

Now in the young age also, there are financial responsibilities. Therefore no one shall go for pure equity. It should be all the time combination of equity debt gold etc.

Yes return is much lower against Hdfc BAF for any duration. Then ?
No doubt that HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund has delivered fantastic returns but when you compare ICICI BAF with HDFC BAF then you have to see the risk in both funds. Both these funds are managed differently to a great extent. If an investor is comfortable with higher returns and higher risk then HDFC BAF may be a better choice. ICICI BAF has more focus on downside protection.
soch samajh ke bola karo bhai... hdfc ka std dev 11.76 aur beta 0.83 hai... aur icici ka std dev 5.16 and beta 0.41 hai.... bas return dekh kar fund selection mat kiya karo... agar hdfc jaisa std dev and beta ke sath comfortable ho ek BAF fund me toh usse achha koi multicap ya smallcap me invest karo... balanced fund category ke hisab se std dev below 5 and beta below 0.5 best hai.. har fund me return ke pichhe bhagna chhoro

ICICI is best , it's a less risky but less returns. Hdfc balance fund is good for returns prospects but more risky fund than ICICI

I feel market is very high and it will fall after election. This is pre election pump. Investing lumpsum at this level is very risky.

No doubt about it but the risk management is equally important. Equity is volatile by nature and may not suitable for short term goals.

I was invested in ICICI prudential balanced advantage fund for 3 years and sold in frustration of very low return. It is such a pathetic fund
Better go with HDFC balanced advantage fund
yes you can go. but one biggest difference is icici baf is moderate consecutive where hdfc baf is aggresive hybrid . they take 65% equity anytime where as icici baf have 40% avg equity since last 1 yr thaats why it can't give more than 10-12% . if you want high return in same category then go for equity and debt fund of icici or multi asset.

The total asset of the fund is around 52,0000 crores which is highest in the industry. Don't make your decision after comparing returns of a BAF with a small cap fund.
