This guy has a very cavalier attitude toward all the equipment he uses. Even delicate stuff like this expensive scale and trickler. Banging, slinging, tossing, shaking, pushing, rapping. Makes me a little nervous! Ha Ha Thanks much for the video..my V4 is on the way and I'm very excited to get it set up and going.
I have the v3 , the v4 did not have all the lose standing parts, I don't know when it will be available in South Africa? I will sell or try to sell the v3 and get v4. Good 👍work, waiting for the next video 📹.

I never thought I would get this deep into shooting and reloading..But I got bit by the shooting & Reloading Bug BAD.. I love it..Heck I love reloading almost as much as shooting..I love to be as near to perfect as possible in reloading.I almost bought the Prometheus Reloading Scale but $4K was a bit much for me.

So which one do you use autotrickler or supertrickler?
Is there no issue with taking all measurements on the “edge” of the scale? The cup sits towards the outside of the circle. More a A&D scale question. Thanks.
I have been using my cup on the edge for about 4-5 years and I've never had a problem. Just always put it back in the same spot.

Great set up video Sir. I'm Loving my V3 combo on my Sartorius Scale. The only question that comes to mind is. What if you want to drop 1 kernel from the auto trickler? is that possible with the V4 set up? Thanks John.👍👍👍😎

I have a quick question if anyone would please chime in it would be much appreciated..I'm changing from v3 to v4 and using same scales and in the book you come to reprogramming the port on the back of the scales..when exactly do you do this part and does the v4 need to be plugged in or ??
When I got the v3 they came together so no worries but I'm using the same scales.

Surely having the pan off centre is going to effect the accuracy of the scales. My lab scales need the pan to be dead centre in order to get accurate results at 0.02 grain resolution.
if you calibrate the scale with the weight in the same place as the cup will be, and you always put the cup in the same place, and zero it every charge, it will be fine in any location

Since you have had time to play with it do you feel that it is a better unit than the V3 and worthy of upgrading to the V4?
I'll start by saying not faster and not more accurate. It's just different. For someone who doesn't load a lot or do a lot of load development I'd say keep your v3. BUT for anyone who loads a lot of calibers or load development it has definite advantages.

Wish he would have left the tilt angle set screw on the final version, It is pretty jenky having to stick pieces of flash cards under the back to get the correct flow rate for large kernal powders. For the cost and wait time I expected a better product. The Super Trickler can not come soon enough.

I’ve been out of competitive precision rifle shooting for a few years. I’ve got the old school chargemaster with the typical tuning everybody does. I mostly used to shoot “sniper” matches, and PRS when that became a thing. I did shoot occasional F-Class matches and even one a few with my field rifle.
I’m moving next year sometime (hopefully if we get the house done) to a place where an F-Class range is relatively within driving distance.
Do you think a guy should invest in the auto trickler system, or is the advantage over the CM overblown?
I don't think it's overblown at all but it all depends on what your need it. You can completely get away with the CM but if you're serious about competing the AutoTrickler does it faster, more repeatably and definitely more accurately. Could I compete and use a CM, sure, but you won't ever catch me doing it because I would always be hoping the CM didn't make a mistake or leave me a powder window too wide to succeed. So yes, totally worth it (for me and countless others) and not overblown in my opinion.
@@FClassJohn appreciate your thoughts. Once I get a rifle built, I’ll add it to the list of things to investigate. I did well with the CM but that was also years ago, and mostly PRS where the accuracy is less demanding.
Great video. Got mine last weekend! Are there any covers available for the A&D / V4 Autotrickler set-up? To help keep dust etc out of the V4 when not in use.

why a new power cord. I have a V3 and didn't get a power cord with it. i have the original power cord to whole time. is it necessary to use the provided power cord?
I would email Adam and ask. It's possible some units didn't need it and I was mistaken. I can't remember the exact reason why it's often needed.

What is the name of the stone you have under the scale and where can you get it.
It’s granite. I just went to a local granite company that does sinks and stuff and asked if I could have a piece of scrap from one of their cut outs. They were happy to let me have it.
