Zatoichi is a fascinating character, shy and funny, but a killing machine when need be. This is one of the best chambara tv series ever. Shintarô Katsu is fantastic in the role. Thank you so much for the upload.

I have almost reached the end of Zatoichi and I have been reflecting on this magnificent character, and sometimes I am just angry that he doesn't just cut down Yakuzas as soon as they do him wrong. Instead, he lets them destroy the lives of so many people before he finally loses his patience and cuts them down. Imagine how many people were killed indirectly because he failed to react sooner.
