  • I took the Hearts stadium tour at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh!
    mysteryfootballkitco.com/ - Discount Code: FOOTY
    I visited Edinburgh on remembrance Sunday which is remembered by Heart of Midlothian in the most amazing way. Hearts played a crucial part in WW1 due to a number of their players enlisting to join the war effort in McCrae's Battalion.
    Hearts currently play in the Scottish Premiership having won the Championship last season. Tynecastle can house just shy of 20,000 fans and is another classic, old Archibald Leitch stadium!

    I know this comment is really late, but back around 2009 Hearts was one of the first soccer shirts I bought here in the States...the maroon was the color of my alma mater, and I figured that any Scottish team that would wear a heart as a badge must be tough as hell. I was right. Much love to the McCrae Battalion.

    Quality video. Regarding Remembrance and hearts, Twenty one years ago II had the privilege of working on a dementia assessment unit, as a student nurse. I met a lot of amazing people but a man that I often think about was a man who was on the books of hearts but joined up and fought in the 8th Army in North Africa in WW2. He loved Hearts and love football. In different era he’d have loved this channel.
    The two Edinburgh teams really do have the best names. They kinda compliment each other.
    On another point; I really liked that Aberdeen kit.
    Spot on video. Thanks.

Its actually like the holocaust is remembered, Aberdeen were dam fucking good then and they played with arrogance and looked the part, could have won the treble if Fergie had concentrated on Aberdeen, they lost to celtic and dundee united at home close to end of season but Hearts became a legend among those Aberdeen and Dundee United teams of the 80s, was a nice ending to the best era in scottish football

    • @jamesi2018
      @jamesi2018 Před 2 lety

      @Jon Doe the guy im thinking of was Daz Neil or Darren Neil, he was boxer who looked like the recent James Bond but anyway he was behind the goal also, I was in secondary school and was at a protestant school where everyone supported Rangers, only 2 celtic fans me and someone else, Rangers were shite and a few Rangers fans started supporting Hearts bcos they were a proddy team I guess and I grew fond of Hearts, kept looking at the league table not believing what I was seeing, always expecting they wouldnt win it though but then when I think they were going to win it, you know what happened next but I wonder if Albert Kidd didnt have the game of his life and Hearts won it would they have written such a legendary story? im not sure but would have been great to have had 3 teams outside of old firm winning the league 4 years on the trot. I think for someone who likes football history then Hearts winning it would have meant more but to someone to learn what happened who doesnt even like football then the story is worth investigating, pity so much tv blackout that season though

    Lots of interesting stuff to check out within the stadium possibly one of the best stories throughout Scottish football + it holds very good atmosphere although i may add the stadium itself looks very basic & has no character to it unlike a stadium like Tannadice Park where some of the original parts is still preserved.

      Tynecastle is a fantastic stadium. Best stadium to visit in Scotland. That's the opinion of the visiting fans.

    You might get a Leeds shirt sent the one you were sent almost looked like Leeds shirt when you were pulling it out of the box though I suppose if you got one of them sent you could always burn it or show some disrespect 2 it like that club that've allowed their big hooligan problem to go on for far too long deserve
