- Leon The Professional is a action thriller film. The film follows Leon a professional hitman who reluctantly takes care of Matilda (Natalie Portman) after her family is killed. Leon and Matilda forms an unusual relationship as she becomes his protegee and learns hitmans trade
The size of these so called run down nyc apartments is what impressed me the most.
well the majority of the indoor sections of the movie was filmed in france, so maybe that’s why
He's so fatherly caring in his teaching of this young girl, teaching her how to be a hitwoman... it's heart warming.
Fatherly? This movie was basically a pedophiles dream
@@Rowan94 Only in a sick twisted perverted mind like yours.
Bruh he's a contract killer
@@JuiceCasanova-dm3ir But he's a loving contract killer with real fatherly loving instincts. A real nice guy.
@sumerbc bro he's a pedophile did you watch the movie?
Have loved this film for over twenty years and never saw this scene because it was removed from The Professional. Shame
WTF, thought i was losing my mind.
I thought so I just watch this and was thinking I must have missed something
Yeah same I was so confused when they put it on Netflix and I didn’t see it
YESSS! drives me crazy that they cut it from some versions. It makes so much sense for Mathilda's character especially when she burns the drugs
Really? I watched it from the net and it was there .. I never knew they deleted this scene
So this is where Padme learned how to shoot a blaster
Better than the storm troopers too
HAHAHAH YASSS
Jeez, if the props were converted old surplus pistols and machineguns she honestly Could clear, strip, clear and reassemble them all. Her parents stipulated she couldn't act in this movie without being taught weapon safety and drills for her benefit.
@@dragonsword7370, seems she dodged IDF training.
the neck roll she do before she shoots him like she really was finna end him i love it 😂
Please learn how to speak English. I seriously doubt you know any other languages, so you should probably understand how to speak your mother tongue.
she needed to get the hair out of her face, but knew she wouldn't get her hands back on the gun the right way.
'finna' what dumb F language is that?
For those confused, the European cut “Leon” has this, American test audiences negatively reacted to the scene of Matilda directly involved like this so they removed it for the US cut of “The Professional.”
Thx for clearing this up, I have to watch the european cut then cuz I thought the version i watched shouldve had more scenes like this, because the pacing of the film felt so weird and fragmented
americans when the girl learning to be an assassin partakes in an assassination 🤯🤯😱😱
how disgustingly pitiful. the american censors are spineless, and doubly tasteless. anyone who's o.k. with the Rest of the film has nothing to say against this quaint little scene. They're trembling Pussies frightened of their own shadow.
Thanks. Great info.
Interesting! I’m in Europe and I’ve never seen this scene before😁
In light of the reveal that Besson was a creep, Mathilda's portrayal is honestly kind of unnerving.
Like, a choker, sure, but a choker in that specific context, and considering Besson's original intent for the hotel sequence...yeah.
Leon pulling out his 586 was badass.
You mean 686?
"Second shot goes higher"
*shoots high then low*
because the guy falls after the first shot
@@husten11111 oooo, da professional 👌
The scene is accurate. When Leon shoots the guy. You see him shooting up first. And then down. It was because, when he pulled the first shot. The guy was standing up. After taking the first shot. He went down immediately. That's why you see Leon shooting the second one down.
ok, so leons eyes must move down then and react like hes shooting a falling person?@@peluca89
how can you see his eyes? @@jamiew1664
I love how the “shoot ‘em in the face” trope is deconstructed here, and it make sense, you wanna know if the person you killed is the right person.
The older I get, the more I love this film. 1994 was just a crazy good year for movies.
Whoa why don't I remember this scene? I watched it many times 🤣. This is the best scene for sure
Becuase they removed this scene, this scene was only in the uncut version
The European cut “Leon” has this, American test audiences negatively reacted to the scene of Matilda directly involved like this so they removed it for the US cut of “The Professional.”
That's because there are two versions of this film, one is called "Leon", and the other "The Professional"
@@Bobaklives No it does not. I saw Leon as a 9 year old in cinema in Poland (back then it was funny and there were no age ratings) and many time on TV but never before seen that scene.
odd?
cool@@antaresautomatyka9288
i didnt want to fall in love with this movie but i did
How he open the door is hillarious he look like a big child . Besson did good transmitting us the real nature of Leon
Did Netflix cut this part out of the movie? I'm so confused
BEUH FR
Yeah man, I literally watched the movie now on Netflix and this scene wasn't there.
Yeah I wouldn't have bothered watching the Netflix version since I just bought the Blu ray if I knew they used a censored version. Sad.
This is an extended cut that was the original movie but the American test audience didn't like the awkward romance scenes so they cut some content from the movie for the American release which is also on Netflix. These scenes are the extended cut released in Europe
Same I was so confused after watching it recently since I remembered more scenes in it. Gotta go find the full version now
Damm....that last part when she burned the coke. They shouldve kept that scene in.
That was heroin. NYC stamp bags were a pretty common thing in them days.
@Robert Maxwell Bell never touched the stuff
Leon is an excellent teacher.
This is seriously one of the best movies ever made. I'd easily put it in the all-time top 20, perhaps even top 10.
Really?......better than........
**They shoot horses don't they**(Sidney Pollack)?
**Midnight cowboy**( john schesinger)
**Down by law** (Jim Jarmusch)
**Killing Zoe** (Roger Avery)
**2001**(stanley Kubrick)
**Paths of glory** Kubrick
**Apocalypse now**( Francis Coppola.)
**Solaris**(Andre Tarkovski)
@@MrBaousu
You didn't list 20 movies. Not even 10.
Thank you for uploading without black bars :)
The best actionfilm ever!
This is not an action film. Action take a little place in this movie. I see it more as a drame genre. The drame that make you actually cry, not drama that make you laught because so overacted
I love this movie I watched it yesterday
😆 I loved this movie so much I named my son Leon.
I love the chill vibe
Liked and subscribed. Nice vid
3:22 His face when he realizes the larger implications of his creed.... amazing.
it helps imform some of his choices in the finale honestly
Outstanding movie
The best of the best.
THEY SHOULD MAKE A SEQUEL WITH NATALIE PORTMAN OR ANOTHER ACTRESS AS A HITMAN.
Nah bruh they'd ruin it
Watch 'Anna'.
I watched this movie yesterday I don’t remember this scene is it from an extended edition?
Yes
Directors Cut. I buyed the DVD on Amazon and it came. Looks very good. I am happy that we got this in germany.
wasnt in original European cut (maybe not US cut either). FUll directors cut has lots of strange scenes tho.
@@johnf4659 The 133min Director's Cut/International Version was the one I saw in a UK cinema in 1995.
@@bingsinatra5283 I had a japanese import DVD and a UK dvd version, and the imporrt version had this extra scene and a lot more scenes in it.
León is such a masterpiece!
It's allowed for all in Italy, and 12 in France. I understand both desicions, bit since it is so stylized I go with all public.
Jamais vu cette scène.
Mais comme beaucoup de films, il y a des versions avec différentes scènes en plus ou en moins...
Fricking awesome movie 💪 💪 💯💥
😂 totally a great scene😅
They set us up for a sequel with this scene.
This scene was included in the UK version, just not the USA one. No idea why.
No surprise for a country that censors the word fuck 🙏
Should of kept this scene.
Should of made Matilda older as a “Cleaner” and she could of went after the other dirty Cops that killed her family.
This movie made me as a kid.
This is like when my cat tries to teach me to hunt and kill mice.
It’s crazy how much is cut from the theatrical version
One of the best movies ever made
To think they used Jean Reno's likeness as one of the playable characters in Onimusha 3.
That’s not a bad thing
Now i have to watch this whole movie. I have to be up in the morning you know.
Yesterday this movie was free on CZcams
Did I watch the same movie? I thought the pacing was quick cause I don't remember this scene at all and watched it last night on netflix.
I see kickass was inspired by this.
Anyone see what the revolver is? I'm thinking it might be a Manurhin.
Never saw this scene. Were these deleted scenes
I love that dude that leon killed, he was in a steven segal film as a baddie, and also had a bigger part (where he was still a baddie) in a brilliant comedy called "moving" starring Richard Pryor and Dana Carvey (garth from waynes world), that film "moving" is funny as F, and well worth a watch... anyone know the dudes name?
Yo I don’t remember seeing this and I’ve watched professional over 30 times
Best movie
I love this f****** movie what
💯💯💯💯💯💯😎😎😍😍😍
Jesique?
He just be that wrong dude to F with
A movie like this would never be made today. And that's a shame
This movie is extremely deep but most only see it for what it offers on the surface
the scene where she comes onto him, as a child! NOW THAT would never never, ever, be in a film again!
-nine women and four kids killed in apartment fire
"You said no women, no kids. Who do you think this is gonna kill, junkies and monkeys?" Atta girl, Mathilda. A perfect ending for a well done job.
Ayo wtF I just finished watching this movie on netflix and came to youtube to learn more about it, first thing that I find is a great scene that I never saw in the film?! How tf was this scene cut out lmao it's fantastic
It's because American test audiences didn't like a lot of scenes so they were cut for the American release. The original uncut version of the movie is way better and is 30-40 minutes longer, you can find it online. This has been one of my favorite movies for years (the uncut version) and I didn't know that there was and I didn't know that there was a shorter version until I watched it on CZcams yesterday (It's free with ads right now).
I never saw this
Me neither.
Two versions, In the US it was titled “the professional “ pretty good film
This bad guy is the one from the convenience store robbery in a Steven Seagal movie.
3:43 - PRO TIP: Don't light narcotics on fire. You'll OVERDOSE on the fumes.
I don't believe that someone like this guy have so many books
🇨🇵 : Je n'avais jamais vu 👀 cette scène 🎬 !! 😅
"Don't shoot them in the face, otherwise they won't recognise the client"
_Proceeds to burn the fucking corpse_
I think it's because that isn't a target but more of a message to the cartel.
Probably contract hits are a different case.
I don't remember this scene being in the initial release.
The part when a teacher learns something from his Student.
Yes, this was a good scene, but I liked even more the charades scene: Humanizing a hitman and his growing emotional connection to a young girl.
Nice suppressor 😅
Funny asf
WTF I just watching this on Netlfix and this scene wasn't there.
"Now it's clean", as the building burns to the ground killing everyone else in the building.
Jamais vu cette scène avant?
I just watched the movie and this was not in it???
Its part of the longer edition
Extended cut
it's from non cinema cut
i watched this on netflix and i don’t remember this did they take it off
Director's cut
Have you even seen this movie? There's no way this was the best scene.

1:54 Barrel from her
Ive seen this movie, I dont recall this scene
Removed from the movie
I met Natalie Portman a few years ago in Santa Monica ,I told her how little and cute she is ,she smiled and said thanks 😊,she is even cuter in person 🥰🥰🥰
Nice
Is that the guy who was in the elevator from Captain America?
man this wasn't in the move when i watched it
wa
This bad guy was in hard to kill....
She just burnt her gun all up
I think the ending scene is good as this scene but much more dramatic.
I don't remember this. Was it in the TV version?
its from the extended version a few sences like this one and the one where she threatened to kill herself were cut out the full version is 20mins longer you can watch it here
Fun fact this scene isn't in the movie on Netflix. Wonder why?
why????? WTF netflix
It is tho?
Americans who screen tested the movie felt it was too romantic??? And they obviously didn't want to portray the character as a paedophile so cut a load of scenes they didn't like
Netflix didn't cut the scene. They just used the version of the movie without the scenes deemed paedophilic (there are multiple cuts of the movie) It's really strange and i do not know why the first watchers felt like that
I never open my door again
Jean Reno could have played Niko Bellic in some 90s GTA movie.
Matilda: : the professional 2
I just watched the on Netflix, this wasn’t in the movie
Why I built a Gucci Beretta 92, excuse number 8,438
😆😆
Wtf Portman’s face looks exactly the same now!
"No women no children" proceeds to start an apartment building fire.
Training day😅.)
They should've never cut any scenes in the movie
I see you have not seen all the deleted scenes from this movie.... or do you need to take a seat?
I like this french style
WTF... I don't remember seeing this in the movie...
He said the second shot goes higher and then doesn't follow his own advice
And, cut 15mins later the the fire spreads and burns the whole building down along with innocent women and children living there.
