    Let's be honest here. The next 6 matches for Canada MNT is the greatest stretch of talented opposition they have ever had, and will certainly have leading up to 2026. It is inexcusable not to put the new coach in. I don't care if he arrives the night before the match against The Netherlands, just get him there, even if only sitting in the stands. Tough on Kevin Blue who only arrived recently himself, but that's the responsibility leaders need to take on. Get it done Kevin ASAP.

    Could someone tell me what the existing President has done to raise the sport in Canada? We don't need DEI figureheads, we need leadership. Did she sort the financial woes out? Did she get the national teams collective bargaining completed? Did she raise the image of the sport in Canada?

    If we want to really have a lasting national team we're gonna need to take a risk on a Canadian manager. Luckily for national teams a manager wouldn't need to deal with star players for no longer than a month at a time, but its gonna be hard to replicate Herdman

    I hope for every single Canadian football fan that Paul Clement doesn't get the job, he would ruin all of the progress that had been made in the national team in about a year.

    Why does OneSoccer insist on copying the latest goofy American trend like a stray puppy by always referring to Canada as The Canadian Men's National Team or The Canadian Women's National Team?

    • @ColonelGreen
      @ColonelGreen Před 20 dny +3

      It gets used for the same reason that the Americans do it, because we like to make clear if we’re talking about the men’s or women’s teams. It’s especially pronounced because in both countries the women’s team has typically been more important in the past 30 years.

    • @juliansmith4295
      @juliansmith4295 Před 20 dny

      @@ColonelGreen I know we do it because the Americans do. As I already pointed out, we do everything because the Americans do.
      It's much simpler to say, "the men's team" or "the women's team" or just "Canada' if it's already been established which team is being talked about.

    • @sanjarsocool
      @sanjarsocool Před 20 dny +1

      honestly if Canadian soccer was being talked about before the last 5 years (we were absolutlely dog shit before) it was about the womans, the distingtion is made because we now have two high performing teams.

    • @juliansmith4295
      @juliansmith4295 Před 20 dny +1

      @@sanjarsocool As I already said, it's much easier to say, "the men's team" or "the women's team" if it hasn't yet been established which team is being talked about.
      If there are two people in your office named Fred, it's not always necessary to say, "Fred Jones who works in finance" or "Fred Smith who works in accounting."

    Jesse marsch just got linked with Korea job…. This association is a joke

    • @marvinsulzer8258
      @marvinsulzer8258 Před 20 dny

      That’s cause Korea also has far more talent to work with. I mean the entire starting 11 play in top flight in Europe. Canada golden generation is talented but we still have a lot of MLS types there. Korea has a guy (forgot his name) whose a starting midfielder for PSG, and they have the luxury of dropping him from National team for behaviour issue. The only guy in Canada team with comparable talent is Alphonso Davies and I don’t think we can drop a guy like that for bad behaviour. We just aren’t that deep. Korea can and it likely won’t affect their performance much. Only thing that holds Korea back is coaching. Korean coaches are horrible. So they hired a foreign coach in Klinnsman who’s an awful choice. Jesse Marshes can take them deep… legitimately this time (not absolute scam of 2002)
