Why not just hold tensioner with one hand and pull belt with other. Seems like you could’ve saved a lot of time and headache vs. throwing an Allen key in there. If you look closely you can see the tensioner rotate back and add some tension when release onto the Allen key making it hard for you to pull the belt off.
how can u tell compression stroke ifthe belt broke I feel it get harder to turn then I hear air then it gets easier, but I cant tell if the air is cylender 1 or not. I just hear a bit of air. hard to tell if its compression stroke or not

Pull the cylinder 1 spark plug. If the difficulty goes away then the air being compressed is on cyl 1
