#twinpeaks #soundtrack #ambient - Hudba
Rest in peace Angelo Badalamenti 1937-2022 we won't get another composer like you. I just can't describe how much your music means for me
One of the best soundtracks for a tv show. So mysterous
yup.....X-Files music is fantastic as well...and now,of course, the newly crowned king of soundtracks...the Stranger Things soundtrack
@@TETCOM. king of soundtracks, maybe. But without master Carpenter and his giant inluence, there would be no Stranger Things. Just sayin. ;-) P.s. for me is king of all ost ever, Halloween III. For example.
You prefer season of the witch soundtrack over the original Halloween’s music? Hmm
@@TETCOM. Sure is. And Stranger things is already nostalgic.
@@michalslatina8004 i love..no...LOVE carpenter...i'm a filmmaker..and he's one of my all-time heroes..his movies AND music was great..LOVE his music...so talented
Dark Mood Woods really defines what was to become the last episode of the original series. The fact that it plays throughout the episode serves to juxtapose the quirky humor and playfulness of the show, now taking a backseat to the grim seriousness of the occultic forces that dwell in the woods. Cooper not only has to confront his former partner, but also BOB again, traversing from the corporeal world into something beyond human comprehension.
As much as I like the humor and quirkiness of the denizens of Twin Peaks, I can't help but love the seriousness and dark moments of the show even more. After all, this is an FBI serial.
'FBI serial' haha, thats like calling Blue Velvet simply a 'crime drama'... I consider Twin Peaks, first and foremost, a surreal horror story, with some lighthearted scenes added as a counterpoint. I definitely prefer the serious parts also, especially the prequel Fire Walk With Me
Rest in peace, maestro.
Fear, darkness, madness, violence, destruction and death...all in this sound.
those 6 traits completely rule the story of Twin Peaks (unfortunately)
@@TETCOM. Yeah. It's true.
When i listen this sound I can feel the darkness ... It's amazing...but It's true, pain, darkness, destruction...its deeply disturbing...
Angelo Badalamenti is brilliant...
Another brilliant light has been extinguished and hastened the ever-increasing darkness of the world. Angelo Badalamenti (1937-2022).
rest in peace Angelo Badalamenti 🌲🙏
I never realize how incredibly moody and dark all the ambient tracks are in this show until finding this compilation. I've seen some people criticize Badalamenti's more standard music used throughout the show and I can understand the argument even if I don't agree, but all of his creepy ambient pieces create an incredible sense of both dread and wonder.
Who's criticized Angelo's work? I've only heard praise haha
@@Jackp2003 I occasionally see people say it's cheesy, but I think it fits where it's used perfectly.
@@TechnoSyndro What? These people are themselves cheesy and cerntainly not mister Badalamenti.
@@TechnoSyndro i agree. i think it's used perfectly. there are some parts in the soundtrack that sound very 80s and what not, a little campy but i think it adds to the whole mysterious feel. i love it lots
This show came out in 1990 so the fact is has 80s vibes makes sense. It was on the tail end of a very nostalgic era.
black metal, dark ambient, twin peaks, reasons to still living caressing limits
You're now playing on a cloud, Maestro!
I love the picture for Log Lady Presence... it captures the special moment when they meet and margaret tries to help laura...they both suffer fates that sadden me...we all know what happens to laura...but margaret all alone in the end on the phone with hawk almost brought me to tears...just way too emotionally resonant...and so very somber, that final scene with margaret
Great comment...
@@xoen6 thanks...it was from the heart..lol
Margaret's actor - Catherine Coulson - was also actively dying from cancer at the time of filming. Makes her entire performance utterly soul-piercing.
@@RighBread yup
This series is just next level, thank you marl frost, david lynch for this masterpiece of a thriller.
Angelo badalamenti s music is the cherry on top
Rest in peace Angelo💐
wow, i love Angelo Bandalamenti, he is my fav. composer ever! he is mega cool and so fucking talented. i love his soundtracks, particulary Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway & Mulholland Drive. Mr. Badalamenti sure is bloody sublime at his craft.
Nightsea Wind is my fav, it's a masterpiece.
nightsea wind...wow..that track blows my mind....it's so mysterious, intriguing, scary and dark...and it really sounds like Laura Palmer standing on the beach at night,at the edge of the ocean, with the nightsea wind blowing, contemplating suicide with a blade of some sort in her hand......it also reminds me of the nightmares i used to have when i was about 4 or 5...and the streets of new york city after 12 am...i dont know if you know what i mean but NYC has a very distinct atmosphere to it once the sun goes down...there are alot of dark and frightening things that happen out there at night that few people see or would want too...as a kid,i soaked up that atmosphere...it was scary, but all the bright lights everywhere made it a little better..NY is FULL of lights...but the parts of NY that are dark...the parts where light does'nt reach...the strange shadows that are created in the alleyways and the gaps between tall buildings at night...the darkness and depth of it's transit tunnel system...traveling over it's bridges at night looking at the pitch black ocean underneath...it's architecture after dark, looks different...feels different...only place i've really seen like that .....but how much of a genius is Lynch to get me to go on a personal journey inside myself and confront my own psyche just by listening to one of his songs?....i hope he lives to be 129 years old
@@TETCOM. as a new yorker who loves the coastal northwest, i'm sharing with you in all of these impressions
Haunting, haunting, haunting....
And perfect for the dark season mood
My TOP is Nightsea Wind from TP movie. What a super dark ambient, indeed.
This reminds me of the music of True Detective season 1...
@ElectricBlueSwirl Twin Peaks had darker atmosphere though and creepier too.
digging deep for the track labeled dark mood woods THANKS
9:23 Minha trilha sonora favorita da série. É impressionante o tom de mistério e de surrealismo que ela consegue passar.
Naquela cena que o Bad Cooper fica falando "how's Annie?"
When it comes to Detective Ambiance .... He was The Best !
An intense horror on its own, you don't even need the pictures.
RIP master
"Black Lodge Rumble" is the essence of Twin Peaks.
Dark mood woos will haunt me till death. Bravo Angelo.
Love this so much!!
Amazing, this is why I love Twin Peaks
Thank you angelo ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Love this! Figured out the deeper meaning today! What a great show!
Deeper meaning of what?
So mistic, dark and beatiful music!! 👍👍👍 Thank You so much for this! 🌹✨
Now it's dark...Great pictures to best music.
TERESA’S AUTOPSY! 🔥🔥🔥
My absolute favorite! Never heard such mastery of horror sound
I love this soundtrack, it's just perfect for me to study, I love the tv show too
Just great ✌️🤘😈
holy shit this music
This is so… Twin Peaks!! 👍🏻👍🏻
24:59 Harold's Theme (Josie's Past) - magic mysterious sound! very beautiful
It seems to me that recent Nine Inch Nails work is inspired by Angelo Badalamenti
Where's 4th TP season, Mr. Lynch??? That's the TV series bestseller. There was no more iconic series than this. It's overgenerationed. I believe also my kids will be watching this masterpiece.
Owl Cave
Great
Great
wow 🤗
The trees are not what they seem. 🌲
If you're into this I think you're really gonna like the album 'Narkopop' by GAS!
I found GAS a few months ago, I've been listening only Zauberberg album, and I like it. I will check it, thanx for recommend!
I just L.U.V., LUUUUUUUUV this A Lot!
POV: it's a Wednesday night in Mid-November, 2 AM. I drive through a middle of nowhere forest in Eastern Canada, alone. My car breaks down and there is no network to call someone. It's pitch black and only some leaves and soft wind can be heard. I opened my window to get some fresh air inside the car. I wait for 15 minutes, waiting for a car that might help me. After that I decide to put the warning lights on and try to get some sleep and wait until someone comes to help me.
The nearest populated places are tens of miles away, so walking isn't an option. I am tired. I try to get some sleep but I'm pretty unnerved, I am in a creepy forest in the pitch black night after all. I stare at my clock and see it's 3:00 AM. Right after that I hear a loud metallic sound from 100 yards away. It must have been a person, animal or other creature as there is not much wind. It sounded a bit like a metal bar slammed against another one, but it could have been many things. I became a bit nervous, and then I heard the sound again. This time it sounded a bit closer, 50 yards or something. My heartbeat went up and I became a bit anxious when I heard the sound of leaves and branches. Someone of something was out there, now I knew it for sure. I realised the sound became louder and that it was approaching me. I looked at my rear window, that was where that sound was coming from. A bit of light from the night sky lit up a portion of the road and trees and I noticed movement about 20 yards behind my car. A couple of trees and bushes where moving. I was creeped out when I thought I saw a figure, human or at least humanlike. It was to dark to see, but it was standing in the bushes. Then I was terrified when I heard someone say ''psst''. It came from the front of my car. Another person was partly hiding behind a tree about 10 yards from my car. I couldn't see him entirely, but he coverd his face with a dark hoodie. The man asked ''Do you have a problem''? I said ''My car broke down''. He replied with ''Oh''. After that he ran away from me, back in the forest and bushes. That is a very creepy man, I thought to myself when I still sat in the car, terrified. The other figure was still standing at the back of my car. After a couple of intense minutes I heard a scream about 20 yards away from me, from my left. it sounded like someone signalling another person. A very loud ''Hey!''. After that I noticed two other figures were standing behind my car, three now in total. One of them ominously creeped up to my car while I was hearing whispers in the background. I jumped when a humanlike finger fell on my front window. A bit of blood covered the finger. In pure panic i tried to start my car again, but it didn't work. Exactly after that moment I saw carlights approaching in the distance. It were three police cars. I jumped out of my car and waved at the cars. cops stepped out and I hastily explained my experiences. One cop said a group of three serial killers was on the loose in this area and the area was blocked and search with dogs. They didn't find the killers but it was the most creepy experience of my life.

RIP Harry dean Stanton

Anyone knows the name of the track when Bob shows up? Its a creepy dark track
which scene with bob? there are quite a number and indont think they all have the same music. also keep in mind that much of twinnpeaks TV sounds were a mix of different tracks. basically angelo badelmanti composed a vast number of little samples, like this album. the directors and sound engineers would then play snippets of the tracks, often splicing in other tracks playing at the same time. this sampling method led to a dostinct twinnpeaksy sound , that while familiar, never repated itself.

as ears of curiosity explore *"Laura's Dark Boogie"* . . . (as ~ intenti0nally ~ tense - as ANYthing Angelo Badalamenti has composed)

is certain to be found (at very least)shakily engrossing ~ -

HOW'S ANNIE?
if I were to play this in the presence of my lady friend, she would question my sanity. Sanity is overrated lol.
There's no sanity in Twin Peaks, is the ground of weirdness, mistery, nothing is what it seems, we are drawn to madness and can't run away from it, and the music reflects it perfectly...
@@Paulasantos. There's no limit or boundary for your mind, judging by my own experience. Whether in your dreams or not. Watching and listening to David Lynch's masterpieces is giving you an insight into his mind. And that's only a fraction of what you get to see. And how boring one's everyday life seems by comparison. Maybe this is, what creative minds need in order to escape boredom. Otherwise we'd be driven to suicide I guess.
@@rudimoesbauer184 It's a David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti creation, they are both genial.. their work is remarkable . David Lynch mind is fascinating.

They released this as digital album called The Twin Peaks Archive through David Lynch's website in 2011/2012.

If there ever could be a Twin Peaks video game in the style of Silent Hill 2 I would die happy
oh ....my.....goodness....a twin peaks videogame.....your a genius
Count me in
I've got some recomendations on this particular theme, the first one is Deadly Premonitions, perfect and bad, just like season 2 all along the way,
then probably Virginia, What Remains of Edith Finch, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Nevermind,
and also for some inspirations or ideas about it i would mention some Zelda's titles, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, and probably most of all, Majora's Mask.
Also i forgot to mention Hotline Miami 1&2.
Well that's kind a few, i hope some of you will find a gem or two 👍
Alan Wake?

Series about schizophrenics.
