I've been a Samael fan since the very beginning, and I love everything they put out. Ceremony of Opposites has always been, and probably always will be, my favorite Samael release. I remember shortly after that release when they announced that Xy was going to use drum programming, I was kind of devastated and wasn't sure what their future would bring. When Passage was released in 1996, I was 25 years old and still very much into the sickest shit, the very idea of drum programming made my blood boil. But I gave it a chance, and it took a little time, but I found it kind of refreshing and new. These guys have never been afraid to branch out and experiment, and I admire that. This video shows so much passion for what they do... Masmiseîm's got some moves!!!!
When I made this CZcams account the first thing I did was favorite this video.

I've listened to Samuel for a long time. Samuel is a symphonic black metal band. Ceremony of Opposites is really good classic album. It seems like that Samuel is progressing and now they are creating some intricate songs about certain subject matter that are really of interest. Like Samuel is really putting it out there to keep the fans engrossed and drawing in new fans. Like it's time for symphonic black metal to be unlocked.

Best. Band. Ever. Their name opposes religion and they sing about logic and how nothing really has anything to do with a god. This song is a shining example, and Telepath. We don't need to misplace our faith in a god that is likely just a fantastical creation of man. The world would be a better place if we all just placed that faith solely in our own selves!

In a way, yes. It's that we need to have self discipline really. If we could achieve true self discipline that is a key requirement to embrace what is absolute freedom, people would see the bigger picture. Satisfaction comes from taking care of yourself in the truest sense. Your body is a sacred temple, treat it as such. Thus so is your heart. Philosophically this comes from an acknowledgement to the connection of the physical, mental, and spiritual as well. But also the realization that our reality is our responsibility and no one else's. It certainly isn't God's responsibility anymore. Never was, actually. Faith = Love, Love = Trust, Trust = Honesty, Honesty = Transparency, Transparency = Intimacy, on a greater level. Props to The Infinite that the omniverse exists. I love, acknowledge, and honor my connection to it.

Religion - be it Satanism or Christianity or Islam - is about control. Music is freedom. If you don't realize that you'll never be free. Labeling this music as good or evil is a construct only, a way to attempt to force others to conform. It's kick ass, has awesome hooks and is worth living for.

That was so light and uplifting. They keep trying to tell me to be content with heaven, but if Samael is forced to be in a body, Samael does as Samael is. Rest assured, if it is possible to take control of this world, I will find a way. I think people need to know for sure. I can never rest till I have proven it. Humanity will not be content until it knows that faith will work. Eden depends upon me.

1 of the best comments I have ever read! Simple yet effective and straight to the heart of the matter! I never make that dumb salute with the hands and was the only guy in a white t-shirt (Primordial - Redemption 2011) at the last concert here in this area of Poland. I'm at such gigs for the music, not to be a dumb sheep. No better than any other unthinking group that way. Go with what you like and forget the symbolism!

Faldegast That's true,but Samael's industrial metal is almost older than Rammstein's.Samael's old popularity combined to the new one should give a lot more attention to us.And,Samael's old Black Metal was famous on that time,more famous than Mayhem,that GAINED A LOT OF POPULARITY,since Worship Him times.Conclusion:In my opinion Samael's industrial metal combinated to that obscure personal power should be more popular than Rammstein.Yes,changing the genres very quickly was a fist in the face for the old fans...

Man,I can respect your opinion just if it is based on a study,and,as far as I can see,this is one of the ONLY Samael songs that you know.In my opinion (opinion!) Rammstein's popularity is just because they're singing in German,and the instrumental is pretty heavy.Don't get me wrong,I love Rammstein,I know most of Rammstein's songs,but I can't compare "Hope is a fuel we get for free while fear demands security"(Samael) with "You...you have...you have me"(Rammstein).I can't compare the vocals too.Till is great,but Vorphalack makes a really hard work for that kind of vocals.The instrumental...however....sorry man,but Rammstein's instrumental is sooooo boring for me.On the other hand,Samael's instrumental (especially from Passage,Reign Of Light,Lux Mundi,Solar Soul) is way more complex,and it's full of symphonic parts,samples and industrial gold(and keybords!).

Muy buena performance de ésta banda, aunque evidentemente se han "subido" al tren del típico metal industrial europeo. Aun así, el tema es super bueno e innovador. No deja de ser oscuro, una de las principales características de ésta gran banda suiza. Considero que no se debería comparar a SAMAEL con RAMMSTEIN, pues a pesar de que ambas bandas hacen INDUSTRIAL, cada una tiene su particular estilo....!
