What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for CZcams, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! Just imagine... if the dev adds the image of what's in the box to the side of it you'll know what's in the box on the rack.
Was thinking the same thing. Would make it easier. I divided my storage in different section. Each for freezer, shelf and fridge items.

if there were 2 things id like to see is a clipboard that tells you what is in storage and wherever you place an item it keeps that place even when it goes empty

This game is really good and honestly its a cheaper game. I would’ve probably paid $25-$30 for this game especially since the dev work so hard but I paid like $10!!
This game is gold, boxes everywhere was pure chaos! read the roadmap and it can only get better, I hope their vision for the game is met.
Kage display only top 3 shelfs, save the bottom for left over. No more near empty boxes. We did this in the store I used to work at.
The only thing that would make this better would be labels on the side so you know what's in the box
Dev is a genuine class act.
They really need a better inventory management system. You should be able to see on the computer what you have on the shelves and what you have in stock. Then you can see what you have vs what you need right there without having to travel back and forth from the floor to the storage room to the computer.

This is a nice feature. But what this game needs (More than anything) is a scanner tool for ordering your existing goods. No more running back and forth to the PC. I wonder if the PC can now be moved into the storage? Gonna have to try that tomorrow. Anyway, PC should only be used for unlocks, equipment, etc.
Also, we NEED stock personal. My store is so big now it is very tough to keep up and becomes very tedious buying and stocking the shelves every morning. It just isn't so fun of a game after a while.
Agree I can spend 30 minutes just figuring out what my shelves need then I’m tired🤣🤣 I wish we could at least see how much of an item is stocked in our store so we had an idea what we need to restock. Or something like that
I didn’t understand why ppl wanted restocking employees until I got further and I’m like ohhh I get it now
They should let you get a big red marker to write on the side of boxes
After the Tide pods incident you may want to put candy and cleaning supplies in separate isles
I leave boxes with less than the quantity open on the shelf. This game has kept me up late! Love it.

You should match the store room with the shop so you know what your have based on where it is

Well, they put tags on the front of the shelves and racks showing what item goes there and how much is stored. That's for organizing the stockers. Tho, don't know why I'm replying 3 weeks late, I sure there's a more recent video with the new changes in place.

That's $80 per cashier wages.
you have storage racks, you have the room, why not just purchase and organize items in your storage room, but 1-2 boxes of everything at the end of every shift. the morning stock it. Then if you start getting overwhelmed with one merch just dont order it for a few days.
Ive seen so many setups.. but yours is the most clean, well organized and you have utilized the space very nicely.. i love your management❤❤
That's awesome storage, I also enjoy taking a walk in the new expanded neighborhood while my cashiers work. I think putting one item on the bottom and then stacking the above ones will make it easier to see what you have in the storage room. I have found that by grouping them in the orginal 6 that unlocked together it's easier to keep track.

Universal boxes would be good. Currently I have a box for each item is storage and leave one item in each box. This is to help move stock around whenever I want to refurb the place without the need to buy the product to be able to move the stock.

I make sure I have every item in stock before I open shop, that way I never have people complain about not finding products. Also, your pricing seems oke, but sometimes you overprice. When a product is $6,30, you price it $7 and I think that $6,50 is probably better. That way you only have to reprice the few you get every day. Makes it easier on you :). Loving the series and playing along with you :D
Kage now that you have storage is when you start buying extra stock when the market changes. since when that changes the cost for your purchase goes down also so for instance when muscle milk goes down you can buy 20 cases then wait for it to go back up to put them out or charge a premium etc

If the dev is watching. You need an inventory spreadsheet to track what you have available. Also the name of the item you are looking at, should appear in the corner of the screen

Not sure if you knew this, but you cN order 10 items, then order more go outside and all 20 boxes are there. You don't need to clear the first 10 first.

I need to save and expand further because I can only have one shelf of most items atm and it gets tiring having to restock it every single time because everything is gone🤣 There are for sure growing pains but I love this game. It’s so much fun. I’ve been waiting for a simulator like this forever.
I would love a way to see how many items are in a box instead of having to set the box down on the floor to make sure any hidden items aren’t in there still.
Great idea
With the stocking personal update, you can see the total amount in the boxes in 1 spot on the side of the shelves, and if you think there is more just try and stock a full place, if you have more in the box it says, shelf is full, if it doesn't say anything the box is empty.
Hey Kage, you got me into that game. Thanks for that. I have a little tipp for speeding up the ordering. Try using the search field in the market ui. I usually enter the first 2 or 3 chars of a product type (like "cer" for cereals) or name (like "sta" for stark tuna). This saves me alot of looking and scrolling. Only for the cleaning products I use the category filter instead.
Oh hey Kage forgot one more thing when ur ordering stock u can use the search to look fir a product without having to scroll for 10 million yrs lmao hope this helps

kage you should use the shelves at storage to store stock in columns just as on the shelves, so you can view the product
Those shelves in your storage area are called metro racks.
Either product image on the side of the box or a way to place signage on the shelves. Image would be better though.
they need to add a person who fills the rafts from the storage. It would be nice if it was done soon.
It would also be helpful if the box labels were on the side og the box as well as top. That way when they are on the shelves you can see what is in them.
i think the lights should come on automatically when it starts to get dark

The game needs inventory clipboard checkup thingy to know what you have stocked and things you don't have stocked and same for what you have in storage

Kage how about an icon or image of where you have stuff on the shelves like muscle milk goes here, Bug-A-Salt ammo AKA salt goes here and so on and you can assign where stuff goes and you'll know where you store it even when you are sold out of it.
The curser needs to be bigger than a small dot.

It'd help a lot if the image of the products on the box was on the side of it, so you can see it on the stock shelves, without having to remove to see it on the top.
The developer need to add the image in the front of the boxes, and auto stock when we buy or other fast way to store all thoses boxes.
Hand truck would be nice to move multiple boxes at once.

I know its tedious, and I don't recommend it, but I keep a list of the items, and each day, after I stock what i have, I mark what i need. Then I order. That way i don’t have a ton of overstock. That drives me nuts, from working in such small spaces in the past 😂.
I just kept giggling. Got your wish for the door to the store room, paid to unlock it, then kept running around the long way instead of using it. 😅

Buy the game. I was unsure but its cheap (for me at least) and honestly I can see myself playing this for so long especially since updates keep happening. This game could expand so far and has so much potential. It’s addicting tbh.

you should have highlighter function to highlight the boxes that have the thing you want
Pro tip. Turn your cash registers side ways so a line is for each one and it doesn’t get backup up with everyone going for one and not the other
I've watched Floppy Sword play this, and he just repacks his checkout register back into it's box when he is busy stocking or just doesn't want to wait on customers. Kage will love this tip if he ever sees this.

I doubt I'll ever unlock the store room, i find it unnecessary, but people like playing different ways, so it's good that the dev made that feature better. I'm not really aiming for a superstore, I just pack in as many things as possible, in small numbers, like a convenience store. The more products and licenses you get, what they buy is more spread out, so you don't need lots of each thing. My one wish is for upright freezers. The ones in the game take up too much space for too little product.
I always have a massive amount of boxes everywhere so thats the only reason I could see this storage room being useful. It’s taking up half my store with boxes ya know

Dude I bought 4 boxes of cereal, then forgot I needed the other kind and accidentally added the same one I’d bought but it was still set to 4 🤣 I had 8 boxes of the same cereal 😩
I ran into the same problem early on. Then I changed every single quantity to one, and if I norder more than one, I don't change the quantity. I will just click the one multiple times. This way it always stays at one quantity, so you can never over order by accident. (Unless you have a twitchy trigger finger on the mouse).
I hope the person that came up with this game does really well out of it.....excellent game!

The storage room makes absolutely no sense in this game. You can buy stuff all day long. Just way more work, stupid 🤣🤣🤣 And I've played until lvl 30, but it there are no goals. Just annoying, exhausting and linear, very boring 🙄

Any game can get boring, it’s a good palette cleanser in my opinion. Like between other games when you just want to mindless play something. I really enjoy it but I’m definitely still going to play my other games too🙌🏼

I tried to like this series, I tried to like this game... But, I'm in IT... And watching boxes come in, watching inventory go out, it's brainless to me. I'm sure the thrill comes from modifying prices and such, and watching your empire grow... But, when you order server parts, rack parts, infrastructure parts, construction parts... It really starts to suck. When your bosses ask you why you don't have one particular material, and your email response back is, "Because some moron forgot to put it on the purchase order," it gets a little... stale, or maybe too true to real life.
I manage a supermarket in real life, and play this game haha
