They need to start fining refs for missing/ making bad calls
If they do that, it’s likely the refs would try not to make any calls so they don’t get fined. Especially in the late game.
@@wyattrobidoux5981 If you're supposed to be the ref of the highest level of basketball, you have to be the highest level of referee. Some of these mistakes wouldn't be acceptable in a rec league much less the fucking NBA.
@@jitmut I understand that, but there will never be a call that everybody agrees with, it would become a risk every time you call a late game foul because you may get fined due to crowd outrage.
@@wyattrobidoux5981 most of these calls are just common sense though. It shouldn’t matter what crowds think of a call, of course they’re gonna cheer for their team no matter what. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that some of these missed calls and bad calls are just blatantly wrong.

Good compromise would be giving both teams one extra challenge for the last 2 minutes of play but even that feels risky as that might make the last 2 minutes of a close game last 30+ minutes and that just seems awful.

by rule he was out. if you're coming back from out of bounds, you're not considered back in until you establish both feet in first. he only had one foot in when he touched the ball. other one was still in the air. i'm surprised they even bothered to call that considering how badly they botched the KD out of bounds.

Taunting is considered a technical foul but its applied very selectively. Lebron has been staring people down his whole career but almost never gets called for it. You can celebrate to the crowd or your teammates but you arent supposed to direct your taunt at another player. Usually staredowns are only called if you get in the guy's face.
