Thanks for explaining the reason why, because I will mostly forget if an egg floats if it’s good or bad, so knowing the reason why behind it will make me remember
Exactly the vid I needed when about to chow down on home raised eggs (of a friend’s)🙌. I’m a bit squirrelly about eating potentially spoiled food lol, so I’d rather test things on occasion rather than just bet on it 😄. The eggs I’m cooking now are at the 2-3 weeks stage. Thanks for the educational and quality share🙌.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I just tossed out over a dozen good eggs because I wasn't sure. I'd rather do that than take even the smallest chance when giving them to my kids, but now I know for sure so thank you 😊
Yes you can! They won't last as long, but as long as you haven't washed them, they don't need to be refrigerated. (fresh eggs only, not commercially purchased). www.fresheggsdaily.blog/2015/09/do-i-have-to-refrigerate-my-fresh-eggs.html
Absolutely surprising how long they can last especially from the fridge, I like eggs but rarely cook them for some reason many times I've been about to throw them because of their age but they were ok
Best egg test video on CZcams.
Wow, thanks!
Thank you for the explanation and especially the demonstration!
Glad it was helpful!
When you said, "It's a floater ! "I died laughing.
LOL!

Oh good!
Great vid! Great examples n to the point!
Glad it was helpful!
Perfect concise explanation with only the necessary detail to understand why I should float test raw eggs before freeze drying. Thank you!
You are very welcome.
Right to the point !! Good job.
Glad it helped!
Very good vid! Straight and to the point!👍🏾

Yes! And you can definitely tell if an egg is bad when you crack it open.
Thank you, you clarified that for me will an excellent demonstration.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. I have learned from you. Very simple and clear!!

You are very welcome.
Very good thank you !😍
Our pleasure!
prolly a good test but i just eat em anyway i never got sick. DON'T COPY ME LOL
To me its not worth the risk. We toss them.
When I've asked at markets to do the float test I am refused everytime. Lol
LOL! So here's another trick. Hold the egg up to your ear and shake it. If you can feel things moving around, it's not a fresh egg.
@@FreshEggsDaily AWESOME, THANK YOU!
Thanks!
No problem!
i only eat boiled eggs . this was the perfect test for me , thank you
A boiled rotten egg will be nasty
Perfect!
great video! I was wondering if it's ok to leave your eggs on the counter and not in the refrigerator? Thanks

Thanks! 😎👍🏻🥚🐔
You bet!
Awesome thanks..😊
You are welcome.
My egg stays the way you put the 2nd one but when I broke it in the bowl it had mild smell of an egg so is it ok to fry it and eat it??
I woudn't chance it. If it doubt, toss it out.
I did this test with mineral coated eggs from July. They dropped but when I cooked it was watery
I'm not sure how preserved eggs would act if floated...
@@FreshEggsDaily they sunk and we ate them .

Oh for sure. Unwashed eggs will last for months in the fridge.
Hello, like the video. I just need to know if you can eat the eggs you find in that secret nest you talk about. All the eggs I found sank
Most likely. I would just crack each one into a small bowl to make sure it looks and smells okay. You will be able to tell a bad egg immediately
I just tested a dozen eggs, and three of them floated like fishing bobbers. They were right on the ex date.
I don't go by expiration dates on cartons. www.fresheggsdaily.blog/2016/01/how-old-is-average-supermarket-egg.html
Moral of the story: Don't be a floater because then nobody wants you.
LOL!
This is great if boiling since cant crack to tell.
Yes. Exactly.
I had and organic egg that was a floater. When I broke it open I found out it was actually a fertilized egg.
Oh yikes. That makes sense because at the egg ages, it loses moisture whether or not there's a chick developing inside.
Is the Water Cold or Warm???
Doesn't matter. I use cold.
Thanks ❤John 3,16 ❤
is the floating egg still safe to eat? Thanks 🇵🇭
It could be, but it's going to be very old. I wouldn't chance it.
@@FreshEggsDailyhow about a year old kept in the frig?
Not knowing how to be sure eggs in the yard are good, I’ve been hesitant about seriously considering having hens
Well there you go!
Baked beans and egg it is!!
Haha! Love it.

Eggs will keep longer if you coat entire egg with mineral oil, this will prevent air from getting inside.
I'm not a fan of using mineral oil. Eggshells are porous and I don't want to be eating mineral oil.
Thank you
