    A word of advice: Never take B12 prior to going to bed unless you like sleepless nights.

  • @admin8446
    @admin8446 Před 6 lety +161

    So, much appalling misinformation in the video.
    1. You don't lose B12 every time you pee. You only lose the excess B12 you consume.
    2. Contrary to "the bodies don't store it at all", we actually store 3-5 years' worth of vitamin B12 in the liver.
    3. If you choose B12 shots, you need them monthly, not weekly.
    4. If using sublingual or oral route, you don't need it daily, weekly is enough.
    Many, many others... e.g. Hydrochloric acid doesn't break the "protein-peptide bond" (whatever that is), the protease breaks down proteins to peptides.
    All the vegetarian foods he's showing as part of the video have precisely zero (0) molecules of B12.
    Bottom line, this person knows little to nothing about B12 (and by extension, all of nutrition in general) and is just reading off a script made after shoddy googling.

    • @Smoovey
      @Smoovey Před 5 lety +13

      admin8446 actually, it depends on the person and their symptoms. For someone like me, who is diagnosed with PA (Pernicious Anemia) due to being severely B12 deficient, you may need to get more frequent injections and/or may need to take daily pills/sublinguals to maintain levels. It varies from person to person on how much you may need, but the best way is to monitor your symptoms. If you’re experiencing neurological symptoms then you may need initial loading doses of injections (weekly/bi-weekly, etc) to the point of no more improvement, to monthly, etc etc. Those with PA most likely will have to inject for the rest of their lives. If you’re not familiar please read up on it. There’s plenty of research and B12 deficiency shouldn’t be taken lightly.

    Methylcobalamin.? Adenosylcobalamin? Cyanocobalamin? Hydroxocobalamin.? I like your videos, I’ve learned to trust what you say. Can you tell me which you recommend on the keto diet, and how much. Kind of thinking Cyanocobalamin 2500 mg once a week. Thank you

    • @KC-qb6oi
      @KC-qb6oi Před 2 lety +1

      Methylcobalamin is better than cyanocobalamin bc it's already methylated. And it's not synthetic .

    • @JasonBuckman
      @JasonBuckman Před 2 lety

      Hydroxocobalamin is what you want. That will convert to ehat yoir body needs, methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. Stay away from cyanocobalamin.

    • @JasonBuckman
      @JasonBuckman Před 2 lety +1

      @@KC-qb6oi But then you'll be missing adenosylcobalamin, the other active form. You want hydroxocobalamin, as that will convert to either one.
