These are excellent headphones. Longest and most reliable pair of headphones I've ever owned. I never was bothered with the stock cushions that came with them, but I had to change em simply because they started to smell funky.
Hi, I just did the same swap & had the same dirty patches on the inner metal grill on the headphones. Do you know how can i clean them without destroying the headphone?
Still waiting on them to arrive on Monday though. But took my Crossfade Wireless cushions off to clean everything. The cushions had, as yours also had, loads of gunk trapped in them from my ears rubbing against the driver. Even so much that the paint on the driver had come a bit off.
Update. I've gotten the XL cushions now. So far i feel like the soundstage has increased a lot and i can hear some details i haven't been able to hear in the headphones before. That said, the bass has increased massively in the 100-150hz area to the point that some tracks become too bass heavy and boomy, which I really dislike. Plus feel like i've lost some of the top-end. like 10k and up. So all in all it's a trade off. Not sure which I like the most
+Michael Kire Hansen Audio wasn't a major concern for myself, it was more about making the earphones more comfortable as they were too tight before. I mainly use the earphones for production now too (CZcams Videos etc).
they said these fit all over ear headphones ... they dont fit M200s and the M200s have the same issue, they dont have any other cushions for over ear headphones so whats the deal??
I just got the LP2's this week and i love them. My ears are far bigger than Kev's (Lol!) and so i am wanting to go for the bigger cushions. The genuine V-MODA ones are available from good ol' Amazon uk, but only in grey (what is that all about, Amazon?). I have the matte black 'phones, and so i obviously want the black ones. But i have checked on Amazon.com and the black ones are available for pretty much the same price as Kevin quotes here, so i am thinking that i will just go for it and order them from The States. Seems like it will be worth it. Thanks for posting... \m/ (:o)

I think kitchen wipes or something like that could work well.
@@KevinMuldoon yes, i was thinking on same lines but can't risk even a bit of moisture inside... Shud hv swapped xl earpads from day 1
I found that its easier to take a small flathead og a guitar pick and push it between the small taps and pry the cushion away.

I think these are much more comfortable as they don't sit tight on your ears.

yes the XL cushions are a bit deeper and more comfy
