A few notes on the animals in this video.
*Galahs are the same thing as Rose Breasted Cockatoo, but in the United States we use the name rose breasted cockatoo, and they are a cockatoo.
*Rainforest Opossums like many other animals, have more than one name. Another common name for them is short tail opossum and there are at least 3 other common names as well.
*Ferrets are illegal in many places, including parts of the United States.
*All of these animals were born in the United States

did you know chinchillas are so fluffy that if fleas tried to get on them they suffocate cause there just so fluffy
little pet kingdome Yes, chinchilla can't get fleas because their fur is so thick, however they can get mites underneath their fur.
I said underneath the fur, what's underneath the fur? Skin.
Captain Ø‘ DANK MEMEZ they don't live IN the skin, they live ON the skin. and you'd have to treat your chinchillas really bad for them to get mites.

I'm Australian and I always look out the window and see a bunch of cockatoos. When I go to parks I almost go deaf from all the galahs screeching...
Meanwhile in the U.S people are calling the uncommon and cherishing them as pets...

The bird you showed at the start is Native to Australia. I found one in my drive way with a broken wing, we took it to the vet! :)

It really takes 150 chinchillas to make one coat? How could you even kill one of them? That is so sad. Is removing goat horns like declawing cats? Great video.
Purple Girl There are multiple different ways to dehorn a goat but the way I am most familiar with is to take a kid and burn the area of where the horn is/will be to make sure it does not grow.
My family owns and breeds goats and always used the heat method when they get dehorned. We usually never do that though unless we plan on selling them - and usually the males we do it with so they don’t become too aggressive

I wouldn’t kill a Chinchilla or any other animal, animals are too innocent and cute to harm
*instead of chopping of my goats horns, I just put a pool noodle on the ones that headbutt*

my ferret doesn't live in a cage, she's potty trained to a litter box and sleeps in bed with me and my cat XD they get along well together

I love this SO much. Every time I watch videos with “unusual pets” I think of my nieces and nephews who have a natural love for animals, much like myself. I just recently purchased a couple of Roman Snails for pets since they are reasonably easy to care for and my oldest nephew just loves snails. Once I set up their terrarium my nephew can let this love for “unusual pets” grow. My friends aren’t that excited about the snails but I think it’s important to teach others about respecting animals and learning about them, even the weird ones haha. All your “unusual” babies are so cute!!!

Ariel Hutchinson yes......yes they are. My chinchilla (his name is RJ) is so so so nice but holy crap when I let him out to play and when it is past 6:30 while he is still out.......he never wants to go back in.

You need to get at least 2 there social animals and should never be alone and the cage has to be massive they can overheat very easily oh and they can't get wet good luck though

Was really not expecting the goat, lol xD The possum and chinchilla were my favs :) Although the love bird is beautiful. Do chinchillas smell? I'd love to get one but my partner said they smell and someone else said they're ok outdoors but smell if they're in the house, and I would not want to keep a pet outside.
I would say that chinchillas hardly smell at all. I've actually never have noticed any odor from them. They are very clean.
Happy Tails What about from their cages? I was told chinchillas smell so apparently some people keep them outside. But I've never been around any so I don't know.
Serendipity861 Are you sure they were talking about chinchillas? Chinchillas cannot be kept outside because Temps below 60 will kill them and Temps over 78 will kill them. I don't think the cage smells.
Happy Tails I don't know the situation, I just know they were kept outside (presumably in a garage or shed or some other sheltered area) and I was told by 2 different people who knew the owner of the chinchillas that chinchillas smell. But when I googled it it said they don't smell. But then I thought maybe the cages just smell rather than the chinchillas. Temps below 60 will kill them? I find that hard to believe since their are chinchillas in the UK and it spends most of the year below 60, lol. Like the other day it was like 37/38. Right now it is 55.

Giuliano Battiston I have 2 chinchillas. From my experience, when you first get them they are VERY expensive because you have to get food, their cage, the chinchillas themselves, plus toys and things like that. My family spent about $1000 on them when we first got them, but now the only thing we need to get is food and hay. So, my answer is kind of expensive to maintain.
I was doing a mini lecture for upcoming high school students about a vet assisting class. I had Taz, our class bearded dragon, stuck to my scrubs the entire time. I've never had kids pay that much attention to my rambling.

+ariel piss No, I know exactly what you keep saying. The problem is you're wrong. These animals are domesticated and well cared for by their owners. They've been bred in captivity for many of their generations and releasing them or leaving them in some grungy pet shop all for the sake of not owning pets ( God forbid we house and take care of other species!) just because some edgy, uneducated Internet troll thinks it's wrong is just plain cruel. These animals are happy and fed and perfectly comfortable if kept in the right conditions, as has been scientifically proven time and time again by animal behavior specialists.
+ariel piss They get depressed if you don't treat them and house them right, you maroon. If you're speaking about animals getting depressed from experience, obviously you were doing something wrong with your animals. And funny, look at the pot calling the kettle black.

Hi Meagan, just wanted to comment on how happy and healthy all of your pets obviously are, well done. I have had a love for animals my entire life and when an animal loves its "owner" you can clearly see that love in all its mannerisms and in its eyes, I see that love in your animals. I too have that vibe the animals pick up on and I am commonly followed home or at the very least subjected to a "meet n' greet" when an animal approaches me. I assume that vibe is extremely noticeable in you as its plain to see your animals genuinely love you. Last thing, I just wanted to give a shout out to my pet rat, Isis, because if I didnt, she would never let me live it down, and its a pet video after all :) All pet owners please love your animals and care for them, they depend on you. Peace all over. :)

you are a great woman the work you do and love you have for these animals is wonderful.if you have the time you should go to local schools.educating and allowing the youth to have the hands on experience with a variety of animals is all it takes to spark that interest that can lead to a long career with animals and continue the awareness and joy of these species.
Ferrets should not be bathed weekly. More around once a year. It causes their oils to work harder, thus they smell worse. I have three ferrets as well but have had them for quite some time. Just letting you know. You're right about everything else pertaining to them. ^_^
And I mean that as not to be rude. Not in the slightest! Your ferret looked extremely healthy, beautiful coat and everything. Extremely adorable. Soo much calmer than my little business! 😂

Ivory is so adorable! I have 2 white mosaics and 1 standard grey. I recently rescued a black velvet female chinchilla. She needed a lot of time and work since she was just caged up and never interacted with.
