She lasted ten years and would likely still be with NW if she hadn't hooked up with that overbearing, narcissistic Argentinian. I love Tarja's Mezzo Soprano voice but her vibrato always sounded like an 80 year old woman.
Anette was a very good pop singer but she couldn't sing Tuomas's music even though she was with NW five years. Can you imagine her singing Ghost Love Score?? I can't.
Floor can sing anything and is a very empathic person and can sing Tuomas's music and put more emotion into Nightwish songs, maqking them her own(with the approval of the man who wrote them. She is absolutely the most versatile singer with the widest range(Contralto-Soprano) Nightwish has ever had.
With all that Floor has shown to offer, to me she is the best.

Diana is Russian and sings Russian , English , French , Spanish and Arabic , she was born May 31st 2003 and is now 18 years old , she has been singing since about 5 years old , she has 3 Utube channels with Hundreds of Videos , she has won many awards and is quite different from anyone else .
Uh Jim, she sang Wicked Game about 6 years ago, she was 18 then, she's in her mid 20's by now, no mistake here, look it up. One thing about those Russian girls, they can look young a long time.

Sorry but by chance there is quiet a few...with more regards to the lyrics ..Diana is a performer ,perfectly acceptable. She has a very particular voice. Her force and her weakness in the same time...She is "condamne" to stay in that "niche". She makes a show of it..ok. But, is she a true singer ? No. IMO. This is why I say, yes there is quiet a few singers on the planet who will go to the essence of the song, what I don't think she does! I don't see "song first", but " I 'll show you what I can do with my voice. (Same apply to Dimash or Pomoy ).If they agree that they do showing off before anything else., it's ok with me. And yes, in order to truly understand what I'm talking about, it is advisable to listen to Diana's songs with Russian lyrics and understand the language.
Better yet, attend her live concert. I assure you - when Diana sings in the same room with you is an incredible experience, videos from youtube do not convey this.

Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.
And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.

I’ve listened to this performance probably 25x since yesterday! I subscribed to her channel+ listened to many more vocals from her. I read up about her- she’s an amazing sweet humble, gorgeous young woman. She has performed all over+ also with other great singers. And, no there was not another singer - she can control her voice to do two different tones at one time. Unbelievable!!! And, as talented as she is( she is addicting😊) she remains very humble+ gracious to everyone. A beautiful human with what I would imagine is close to an angelic being singing! Love her! Best way to support her is to subscribe to her channel. 🤗
Diana just turned 18 in May and is living at home and attending school at The Russian Institute of Fine Arts in Moscow. She gained global notoriety when she was 14/15 during a singing project called You Are Super that featured orphans and disadvantaged children. Diana was an orphan at a young age unfortunately. She had a speech problem early on and her adopted Mother put her in singing lessons to help her speak properly...and they discovered her deep, powerful voice shortly afterwards. Check out her cover of Wicked Game. It's dark, mystical and mesmerizing. She has a one of a kind sound and an amazing talent. Frankly she's still developing. No telling how good she gets long term. The show you just watched is Russian TV (NTV) and she sings every Saturday night for two months. Each song in a different genre and her fellow singers in the crowd all critique and praise each other...no judges, so it's more of a variety show than a competition.

She was abused as a toddler by her parents and left at a bus stop and her aunt was contacted and ended up taking her in and adopting her and has helped w her singing journey. She began with yodeling which is why her voice is so laryngeal sounding. 🥰✌🏼

I have been listening to her for a couple of years now. She has many videos on her channel. My favorites are; Wicked game” ,in English, “Last dance” in French, “Rechenka” in Russian. There are many other good ones. The Russian fans can fill you in on her interesting past. She is my favorite female singer. Dimash’s composer, Igor Krutoy, has helped her. Diana’s voice has matured and improved even more, recently. Anyway, Diana’s version of Chris Isaac’s Wicked Games is a world Class performance at the age of 15 years old. I think Diana’s voice dropped 2 octaves in between 14 and 15 years old. She has had voice training since she was around 5-6 years old. Her version of Ah ha’s “Take on me” is very beautiful too. I could listen to anything she sings because the tone of her voice is so fascinatingly beautiful.

Welcome to the Queen of the goose bumps. Wicked Game was the first Diana song i encountered. Had to watch it 6 times before i believed what my ears were telling my brain. Or you could go back to when she was 10 singing oh darling on the radio. She is a dramatic Contralto that yodels and is polyphonic meaning she can generate 2 separate notes at the same time. She is a wonder of the world and the pride of Russia.
The show is called "Show Must Go On" and is a lighthearted competition consisting of winners from other competitive singing shows. None of them are really fighting for an opportunity in this show. It's 9 singers, 9 performances (each), from 9 categories, with a 10th guest professional. They do a daily ranking where each singer has to rate the others from 9 to 2, but can't give out the same score more than once so someone always gets a 2 and someone always gets a 9 (it's relative for the day, like a daily tier list). The daily winner does an encore performance to end the episode. There is a cumulative score that will ultimately decide a winner of the show. Pretty sure they were all paid just to participate in it, so the winnings might be just a little bragging rights or a bonus. Something crazy about this show is the VR tech they use to create virtual stages. One performance had the room transform into "crazy stairs". And a folk song Diana sang had the stage transformed into the Caspian Sea and it froze as she walked over it. It's sort of like the Whale and other effects that have been used in Dimash's performances.
Diana has done wicked covers of Wicked Game (Chris Isaak), Human (Rag'N'Bone Man), Take On Me (A-ha), and "Maybe I, Maybe You" (Scorpions). Her Russian language songs are fantastic, though. And yes, she is polyphonic in her vocal production. A lot of harmonics and overtones to create that "many voices" effect.

Nice to see yet another reactor come across Diana Ankudinova. She's been blowing up the Internet for the last 3 or 4 years and rightly so - best vocalist in the world in my view. It's not just her range but the polyphonic richness, power, texture, tone ... This is a talent competition essentially of participants who were winners on other shows. Rechenka (age 14) and Wicked Game (age 15) and Derniere Danse (age 14) are popular songs to react to among reactors - but her more recent originals are great. I'd recommend the performance she gave a couple of weeks after the one you've just reacted to, "Oh, it is not yet evening", which is a Russian folk song. Diana's last name is really difficult for most non-Russian speakers because of that accent on the third syllable, as well as the mistaken tendency to end her name like an exploding star (or a model of Chevrolet car). Diana is a star, and her singing can be explosive, but her name is not.
I've found it easier to begin saying Ankudinova as if it were two words: "Ahn-koo DEEN-ah-vah" or "Anku DEENava" Once you get into the rhythm of accenting that third syllable, then you can go back to saying Ankudinova as one word. Note that the "o" in her name is pronounced more like "ah". The "o" in her name is something that very few of us English-speakers get right.
Her first name is Dee-AHN-ah.

Excellent first reaction to Diana Ankudinova. The correct pronunciation is pretty close to the way an American will pronounce "Dee-ana Anku-DEEnova" (the stress on the last name is strange to English-speaking ears). You really cannot go wrong with her songs. She can do absolutely anything vocally, and she gives every performance her absolute best: for some songs, this can be quiet and subdued; for others the proper approach is super dramatic. She rarely fails to leave some kind of emotional impact.
