I had very similar luck to you here when I caught my first iuh. My first and only iuh at the moment is a Ruby brunblakk fjord grumpy mare. I caught her in a herd and she’s 100% pure!! And I was so shocked when I caught her!!!!! Congrats for catching a fjord iuh!
You could have gotten a Val fri and a iuh andy or fjord that has a higher tier main+tail color for the Percheron. People have been talking about that they might remodel fjords so it could be a big win if they do

The method I normally use is catch every horse on every island, over and over again, however if you are short on money, try buy 40 lassos (minimum) and catch 5 or less horses on each island.
