British and Germans looked the best (I wore a DDay British parachute smock to a rave in 1992 😂). Americans just looked scruffy, even in clean, pressed uniforms. Even through a few days combat British and German uniforms still looked smart. Don't really like communists so soviet uniforms hold no interest to me.
The Rifle is the 98K , and Jack boots were replaced after 1940 due to severe ankle injuries 1939 to 1940 campaigns in Poland and Northern European countries. When they went into Russia, most of the Jack Boots were replaced by low quart boots and gaters for better support. I did WW2 battle reenactment from 94 to 2000 in a Schutzstaffel unit 17SS Panzer , Grenaders 38pz , 4th company/ Heavy Weapons Unit .

The helmet is somewhat correct but rarely seen. The tricolor was ordered to be removed in 1940. And the m40 started production in 1940. The tricolor on the m40 is that way pretty rare to see. I have seen maybe 5 examples in 15 years of collecting. For the rest a superb set up👌

The weapon for this uniform is a 98k rifle (Kar98k, karabiner 98 kurz, since the ammunition packs are made for the mauser. I have heard people saying this is for MP40 its not. Since its not the MP40 ammo pouches
Given that he has on the y suspenders the rifle ammunition pouches, the Kar - 98 rifle should be carried. The Rifle magazine pouches would have to be switched out with at least two Mp - 40 magazine pouches that are mirrored copies of each other.
Yes I do know what weapon belongs to this "impression" thanks. Since he has elemts of 1943 issue, it seems unlikely that he would still be in a 1940 issue uniform. The national flag decal was discontinued in 1940 & both decals were stopped by Oct '43, The *Entrenching Tool* had a proper belt fitting and sat under the Kar98 bayonet.. Anyone shoving it into their belt like that would do themselves an injury. This guy is Artillery. Specifically Army Flak Artillery because of the "Heeres-Flak Abzeichen" Flak Artillery Award on his left pocket.

No soldier would carry the spade in this way. There was a leather frame for this that could be tied to the belt at the back of the soldier

But some soldiers used it as their melee weapon instead of their bayonet, so thats why its there in front so u can grab it fast when needed.

Yes I do know what weapon belongs to this "impression" thanks. Since he has elemts of 1943 issue, it seems unlikely that he would still be in a 1940 issue uniform. The national flag decal was discontinued in 1940 & both decals were stopped by Oct '43, The *Entrenching Tool* had a proper belt fitting and sat under the Kar98 bayonet.. Anyone shoving it into their belt like that would do themselves an injury. This guy is Artillery. Specifically Army Flak Artillery because of the "Heeres-Flak Abzeichen" Flak Artillery Award on his left pocket.
