My mom went through cancer and came out a whole different person. She went from a selfless person with extreme generalized anxiety to someone we didn't recognize. Nothing bothered her, but also she didn't much care about anything and anyone anymore. The trauma of going through stage 3 cancer changed her. None of us really blamed her though. It was years of medical torture and spiritual crises until her remission. She lasted another 20 years like that, even with therapy.

You do not need to forgive a woman like her. She speaks as if being a wife and a mother was forced upon her by you. She chose it, all the ups and downs of that life come with her decisions. had a quite similar experience like the writer. my ex wife (10 years marriage) had a breast cancer and survived but she said repeatedly that she can find a man better than me and she regret being my wife. finally i decided to file a divorce and suddenly she begged and asked what did she do to me. said what she had done before was because the chemo effect, and i was like "what kind of BS is this?"
It seems like she was resentful of him beforehand and only came to realize it afterwards. Well, I am a stage 3 cancer survivor. Colon, prostate, and bladder. I underwent 10 months of intensive experimental therapy. I insisted that surgery was off the table, but that I’d give serious consideration to every other treatment. It damn sure wasn’t fun, but it was only a temporary inconvenience. The side effects of the 4 pronged treatments will last another 1 year, (2 years after therapy completion). I get lab work, tests, scans, etc., every 3 months. No sign of cancer a year after the treatment. I never dreamed of asking for and betraying my wife for a 1 time “hall pass”. That is so ridiculous! Add to the fact that this woman had only stage 1 cervical cancer and she wants someone else to enter her uterus? She needs to be immediately dumped on her butt and never look back.

There's a book called wild oats where a married woman makes her husband accept an open relationship. It's a true biography and a very brutal depiction of what your spouse can do to you without a care of the damage she's doing to you.
She had no care for what he felt about the whole thing. She wanted to do whatever she wanted and used her cancer against him. While he didn't have cancer, I'm assuming he supported her throughout as she wasn't leaving him. I really feel for the guy and I hope he finds a better life elsewhere.

When someone says after going through an experience that you didn't " you don't know what i have been through" ... i always respond that "ofc i know, why wouldn't i" b/c its called empathy, its human connection thing that lets you feel what others are going through despite you going through exactly the same ... b/c there are only a few human emotions for gazillion experiences people might go through. With enough years on me now i can even verbalize their "experience" better than them.
I would have up, left, contact to lawyer and send the paperwork, go off contact to everyone who's with her and made sure to let everyone what she did as well for the fact that she had all this planned out
I don't know what surviving something like cancer does to someone so I can't really comment on her change as a person. That being said, just because you decide for yourself that things will be different, you don't get to decide the consequences on others, you have to be prepared for how they accept it.
To me disregarding your partners wishes on a pre planned cheating session is worst than an unplanned mistake of cheating in a weak moment when presented with a unique opportunity. As the saying goes it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Btw I am married and have never cheated on my wife and never plan to. The aftermath of cheating is never worth it.
Hardship often reveals true nature of people. Her hardship revealed that she was a weak woman. Yes, a near-death experience will make you think about having a better life, which would be spending more time with loved ones and improving yourself. I had stage 1 intestinal cancer. They caught it early and we squashed it. I could never imagine using it as an excuse to cheat.

No sign of cancer a year after the treatment. I never dreamed of asking for and betraying my wife for a 1 time “hall pass”. That is so ridiculous! Add to the fact that this woman had only stage 1 cervical cancer and she wants someone else to enter her uterus? She needs to be immediately dumped on her butt and never look back.
So...she is using the fact she survived cancer to now cheat on the husband and thinks that's completely ok and normal. No my man you dont have to put up with this total utter bs! Let go of her and divorce the so called wife. People are always talking about husbands leaving their wives when they get ill with cancer etc. but nobody talks about entitled women like that.

When someone says after going through an experience that you didn't " you don't know what i have been through" ... i always respond that "ofc i know, why wouldn't i" b/c its called empathy, its human connection thing that lets you feel what others are going through despite you going through exactly the same ... b/c there are only a few human emotions for gazillion experiences people might go through. That being said, just because you decide for yourself that things will be different, you don't get to decide the consequences on others, you have to be prepared for how they accept it.
