I mean to take absolutely nothing away from any other musician on stage with Henrik, but sometimes I swear that half the reason Dirty Loops is so popular is because they actually have the balls to let the bass be heavily present in the mix. There are some phenomenal bassists out there, but they're rarely given such a spotlight like this. It's incredible.

The musicianship of all of these guys (including Cory Wong and his Hornheads) is off the charts. I think the thing that makes Dirty Loops, Cory Wong, and Vulfpeck so amazing and tight is that none of them allow their ego to get in the way. They're all highly technical and gifted musicians, they all know it, and they all genuinely respect eachother's abilities and they all truly like each other. You can see the joy on their faces when they play and it's infectious. And Grace Kelly's stank face is everything.

Doug! Thank you for doing Dirty Loops. My favorite track of theirs is Rock You but I think any song from them is worthy of your review in this channel. They also have covers of some pop songs that are great as well. Looking forward to more of their songs here!

Gotta do “Turbo” next. The horn lines & tenor sax solo are INSANE

The progressions and the key change at the end of this song are just the icing on the cake, the brilliance of this song is in the RHYTHM.

Dude! This is really cool. Reminds me of the first two Toto albums with Joseph Williams singing (Fahrenheit & The Seventh One), but more intense. Thanks for reacting to this, Mr, Doug.

I loved the ”What!?” After the key change at the end haha

Mike Batt has made symphonic stuff with orchestra and had added oriental tunes in music which reminds me of this!

Yay!! I’ve been wanting you to do dirty loops for a while now!! Great reaction, please go down the dirty lips rabbit hole. Do work shit out, and breakdown, one that is overlooked is their cover of forever young.

They came to Australia a couple of years (2015) as a support act to Maroon 5. I know some people who were blown away by them at their concert, including serious Aussie musicians. Best band I have heard in 71 years.
