You have no idea how much you've helped so many! Literally only clearing out my old junk files helped SO MUCH! My computer and future streams are SAVED and I can keep my current setup for a little longer! ☺
it was really nice fast and easy! i have good brand new built pc but the pre-set options made it pretty slow after this tut i can see things being as they should be and i can finally play games on normal fps
Did it actually work IM scawed
game mode is bug

my pc really just calmed down after doing only 2 of these tips
which one
Same bro not even half way through and my fans just relaxed
Well ours is quite but it has low fps
Dam thats good

First video that came up when I looked up 'optimize windows 10 for gaming' and I was skeptical. I did most of the steps except the stuff at the end. I gained 10-20 fps in game in Warzone. Thanks a lot. My PC is from 2018, i7 7700k w/ 32gb ram w/ RTX 2060 Super!
Very straight forward guide. This stuff's always handy mainly because Windows updates are always adding or adjusting little things. Also, the amount of temporary files I had was absurd! That's one thing I often accidentally neglect...🥴🙄
Cheers fella 👍

I was so shocked fr. I had a laggy ass laptop and once I did every single step after reformatting the laptop, everything was so smooth. thank you, my good lad
This was pretty helpful good vid also are you planning on making an updated attachments video since theres a lot more sights available for each gun?
I used some of the things In this video and want to thank you man feels like my pc is running alot better well gaming thank you
You earned my sub, I've been raging because I spent way too much on an alienware laptop and cod was constantly laggy af! It runs flawlessly now, you're the best
I just did all of the steps all except for the start up time I left at 30 seconds. My processors were set to 1. There was 5gs of junk update files. Minimum usage was at 5%. Went custom only 4 checks like you've got. The advanced pointer was checked & as soon as I un checked it it felt way nicer. Thank you for the sweet set up & things to check out.
I think this video would have been good if you also provided some data to support those settings changes. It feels speculative, without any explanation why this should even work and without showing the impact it has or not
This really helped, just got my first pc and I am glad for seeing an updated one. I will definitely recommend to my friends!!!!
Can U give a Feedback ? 😂🤝🏼

One quick mention for the video, if you own a Ryzen 5000 series you can't see other power plans, you have a slider that you can drag and select how you want the power to be used.
You can still see the plans you just need to go to power options via control panel.

6:56 , The Timeout has nothing to do with a SINGLE boot time, this setting can be changed only if you have more than 1 Operating System installed, the number of seconds is the time your Boot options will show up on screen until it boots the default one. Basically, except if you are a developer, you have nothing to change on the MSCONFIG panel.
true .. and nothing to do with how powerful your pc is .. system configuration is useful disabling services for diagnostics purposes
I changed the Timeout and the CPU Count and now my PC Takes 113 Seconds to Boot instead of 21 Seconds

The "msconfig" Advanced Boot Options can lead to a Boot Loop. Only do that at own risk. A Boot Loop will only happen once, after that, u might need to reset ur OS- Drive.

Honestly, a great video! Short and is explained very well. My fps in Fortnite went from averaging 120 to 400, my monitor cant even go that high. :D
U earned my sub bro keep up the good work thanks so much
In Advanced Boot Options those settings won't make any difference UNLESS you set number of processors to lower than max. Number of processors being checked isn't meant to increase your Cores/Threads during boot... it's meant to LIMIT it. If you leave it unchecked Windows will use the default setting for your configuration(All Cores Are Used By Default). Changing this setting will change absolutely nothing compared to default if you set it to max. Setting it any lower than Maximum will just be setting it to LOWER than default. Timeout is how long the computer displays the option for you to choose which OS you want to boot into. If you aren't dual-booting(Have a disk or disks with more than one detected OS installed) this option will not be display anyways.
so dont touch it?
@@evo2500 I wouldn't bother.
@@evo2500 no dont touch it
Don’t touch it. I noticed lower cinebench scores so I knew something was up.
If you lower it, windows may not recognize all available resources/cores for the boot. That’s why you may see lower scores.

Amazing vid my dude! Everything feels smooth!! And fast xD
high key love the last tip, I do fresh install at least every two years. It's a lot, but whenever I do it, my system is soooo swift.
I cannot thank you enough for the time you made this video. My games run 50x better. It was set to using only 1 core out of 12 of my processor my computer was set to balanced instead of performance. Thank you thank you
I find that hard to believe. The core count setting you changed only affects bootup. If you leave the core count at default one, then open task manager/ performance, all 12 cores will still be running.
@@brett22bt you can find it hard to believe but it worked. You can get on the disbelieve train and head on your way.
@@alexlorenz5939 I know you didn't improve fps by increasing the bootup core count. Changing from balanced to performance doesn't do much, either. All it does is make your PC use more power, which would only really help for multi-tasking.
@@brett22bt really you were physically here to see my PC? Increasing using 12 cores from 1 core did help. Now you can hop on the disbelief train and leave.

Very good guide, good explanation of what your doing before you do it. 10/10 video.
Love this video thank you my pc which I thought was fast is a million times faster now!
For the first step where we go to storage in settings when i click remove temporary files one of the temporary options is "downloads" an di have 246gb of downloads and it would be really good to get 246 gb free of space but idk if that affects my important downlads because 246 seems like a lot
Then go through your downloads and manually delete stuff you don't need. Once your done, clear your recycle bin again.
DELETING TEMP FILES HAS NO EFFECT only delete it if your storage is short since it improves boot times, don't believe youtube tweaker wannabe's they don't research properly. Most of the temp files are useless but if they share the same name as the exe itself then leave it except you need that extra storage for something and it would only improve your fps if you're really short on storage and your drive is bottlenecking your game's engine
@@normalguylmao It certainly would not do anything for gaming fps. I could see it possible improving load times of applications that have to read some of that data but that's it.
Thank you bro I've been stuck on 30 - 45 fps on games now I got 120

So what's the reasoning on setting the cpu to 100% on minimum? Cuz then it's running full tilt when the system is idle
It doesn't increase the CPU usage it just increases the clock speed to the maximum that processor can support and it gives you
a performance boost by running at higher clock
@@Vex22778 right, however being set at 100% it's never going to idle down. If you have a dynamic 5ghz oc and run set this at 100% just because someone said to do so, what's the point?
@@Vex22778 Idk bout you but I don't care to have my cpu pushing 5+ ghz while my pc is idle with nobody at the desk

@@ziz9087 no, I don't shut my pc off when I'm only going to be away from it for 20-30 mins, I also don't want it running at my full oc on desktop for no reason. Plus why would i want it running at 100% when I'm doing basic stuff on my pc like watching a CZcams video or listening to music?
I just want to warn people about the boot options, I've messed with these and my PC was booting up WAY too fast and I couldn't access my bios anymore, it was a huge pain in the ass so next time please warn people about that, accessing BIOS is pretty important for all sorts of reasons.

Hi, at 6:14 hard disk is highlighted in blue in your tutorial. I was curious and clicked on it on my computer and there's an option to turn off hard disk after Settings (Minutes). How many minutes do you recommend we set it to? And if you can, please explain what this command does. Thank you.
Dude this guide was beyond perfect thank you so much.
Speed-stepping has improved greatly since the older generation of multicore processors first came out. Forcing a 100% processor state is near pointless and will only result in increased temperatures and electricity usage for almost no benefit. And I agree with the other comments. Messing with the boot options is asking for trouble. They were introduced back in Windows NT in order to help with server configurations. It's not really meant for normal usage.
Disabling C-States improves performance actually due to the good old non power saving, it does increase temps but you can literally force 4ghz on 1.14V (yes 1.14V if you won the chip lottery) and have about 20-30°c idle and 40-74°c under load or heavy load. People should only mess with the bios if they have knowledge about the bios, it's settings and it's consequences when something goes wrong and how to reset changes (cmos reset or battery reset mostly)
They intentionally making processor power management button gone in windows 8.1 pro that I have to mess with the registry to turn it into 99% from 100%, that 1% difference make huge difference in temperatures. Old laptop was meant to be microwaved so the users are forced to update to win 10/or buy new window 10 rig with 30 spyware installed by default from m'crosoft :D
Agree don't touch that... and a few other settings like boot options
DO NOT SET YOUR PROCESSOR TO 16.
I have a 5800x3d which is a top end gaming cpu and running this at 16 caused a blue screen loop. I changed it to the number of processors I have (8) and it boots fine again
Lots of other cpus have more cores than mine so that’s why, but still 16 Is not for everyone.
