I had mine procedure done this morning. The only part of the procedure that created any discomfort was when the ultrasound wand was slid into the rectom. I told the doctor that I had a skin tag and to try to work around it, well that did not happen. The sedative needle into the prostate did not hurt at all, maybe a 1 on the scale to 10. The cores were also a 1 on a scale to 10. Just that darn skin tag. I walked into the procedure room at 8:30 and walked out at 9am. Taking the enema was a snap, no issues and no residue after 20 minutes. If you have any questions about this procedure, you might as well ask and help calm the nerves.

Very well explained. It's useful in our country India too. Rajiv Gandhi Cancer research Hospital is using the technique.- Dr. P K Pathak DMRD.

There are only two methods of curing prostate cancer surgery and radiation therapy. Things like cryotherapy, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, microwave heating, laser ablation and a few other methods may be appropriate for prostate cancer that recurs after primary treatment, but these are not curative by themselves. *How Prostate Cured Total* , *For more information* tinyurl.com/y42n6q52?Arf022 > ❤️

I retired to Roatan, Honduras and had a biopsy in Honduras and was told I had precursors to cancer. Sounds like I am screwed.

My maternal grandfather, a maternal uncle and my own dad all died from prostate cancer. I think I might be more likely to keep appointments, etc if there was some diagnostic/treatment procedures that aren’t transrectal. Maybe I just need to find an MD who doesn’t act like the dentist in the musical “Little Shop of Horrors”.

Help!. I just had the old prostate biopsy, and they just found cancer in one core sample out of 12... It was painfu, l and after almost a week it still slightly hurts... I am in a small town where they don't have the targeted biopsy: Kingman, AZ. , and I have medicaid for insurance, and was told the ins. probably wouldn't pay for it anyway.... Help! Any suggestions? I am 64..........

Transperineal targeted prostate biopsy under Local Anesthesia (MRI/US Fusion) could be the best prostate cancer option!!

Good info. What percentage of patients "statistically " would've died of those 240000 "new cases". If found in core, I would imagine that may or may not cause complications. If patient had a standard biopsy 3 yrs ago. And now targeted shows a sample positive in "the core" does that mean he should be proactive on this cancer ? I think paranoia sets in, and patient can be misled.
