Thanks to SMCO for their professionalism and love for MINI. The car was a mini rover from Japanese market 1995 year model. Automatic Transmission. Ive had it since 2011 and it was leaking oil like a beer keg. Once I had saved enough money, and found SMCO, I made the decision to get the conversion done. Would highly recommend anyone else who has a passion for minis to work with SMCO. They are profoundly amazing at what they do !
Cost for such a build?
Yes!!!!!!! B motor is to much for a mini. D is better.
just bolt on a supercharger and get 150 to 160 bhp

I have a D16 in my 99 civic coupe Built engine+ turbo 400+ HP....need to drop it in a mini now 😮
Currently 2 years into supercharging my A series and it’s been an absolute nightmare. Really wish I’d just bit the bullet and gone for a Honda motor 😂

This is an amazing Mini, this seems like a very tame swap and that what I really like about it.
Been watching your videos for years and finally pulled the trigger on a 1993 JDM import mini local to me in Toronto. Already planning out my future engine swap but for now I'll enjoy it as is :) Look forward to loading up on swag stickers and a sweet steering wheel when she arrives :) Keep up the good work

Awesome build, super clean! With the added benefit of keeping the original Mini feel using the original front suspension, brakes and steering. Great video!
