We built a TM 144MX two stroke for the 2 Stroke World Championships last year. We take a look back on this build in the completely raw form. We know some of our viewers just want to hear the bike without all the talking. What did we think of the bike? If you like two-strokes that stand out from the crowd, the TM 144MX will surely provide you with a good time. In stock form, the 144cc goes for $8595. On our project bike, we added $6379 in parts to turn the stock bike into a bike that is capable of winning the 125cc Pro class at the 2020 World Two-Stroke Nationals-if the rider is ready, willing and able.

Glen Helen all to yourself. One of the best perks of being a MXA test rider.

I honestly like the ground when it gets like that... I don't care for the deep, shifting sand and it's not that I can't ride it fine; it's just not as much fun... Before I ever entered the 7th grade, I was training in sugar sand by doing tight figure eights and straight line lock to lock of the bars to learn how to cope with the sand plowing from the front wheel. You can push it to turn hard, but it's always excess work.
