- This is a video/slideshow of how a mind can be creative and open in a positive way, there's no limits to anything that you can do.

It's not the best, but still needs some work on effects. Any suggestion is welcome.

“Expansions” always up there !! A radio DJ in the UK once said , if anyone asks what’s Jazz Fusion.. then reply “listen to Expansions by Lonnie Liston Smith”. So true. this tune definitely sums up the genre !!🙏🙏👍♥️♥️
🌞😁...WHEN MUSIC WAS JAZZ, SOUL and R and B...PURE...MEMORIES...💃🏿🕺🏿💃🏿🕺🏿...🕵🏿♂️🖤...
If you’re toes ain’t tapping along to this tune, something is wrong. This song is so ahead of itself that nobody could improve it+never try to fix perfection+ 🎤🚾
Makes my Soul expand to the Heavens, this is Sacred Funk
I caught Lonnie and his band jamming this in DC in the late '70's with his little brother doing the lead vocal on this cut. Brother Lonnie was jamming and leaning on the keys with this jam. I still play this album and introduce my grandson to it. Thanks Dr. Smith.
This tune to me Is the number 1 of funky soul, people will still be dancing to this in thousands of years In time because as you know good tunes never age :)
Never gets old🎶
Absolutely...
@jenessanelson6429
Exactly! It’s timeless because it talks of G-d consciousness, which NEVER gets old, and was never young either. 😂 G-d is the absolutely coolest force for good in this UNIVERSE. Every person with this consciousness that seeks to feed it? Should learn Chassidut/Chassisdus with a Chabad or Breslov Rabbi or Rebbitzen. They’ve got teachings on G-d Consciousness that will make your creative mind fly! Judaism goes far BEYOND race, time and place. G-d consciousness is in the MIND and learning the spiritual aspects of Judaism, builds the MIND. It’s like a transportable secret sauce that’s available to ANYONE! Seek it.
Indeed!
Fusion funk Jazz at its finest, a cosmic experience when you listen to the genius of Lonnie Liston Smith, especially his early material on the Flying Dutchman label, space age Jazz Funk/Fusion of the highest order
Man this is nostalgic memories. What a amazing tune folks....
a classic that never gets old
as soon as you hear the bassline you know you're gonna get expanded !!!!

Classic thinking 💭 Music 💯✊🏾☪️
FORBES OG Insanely junk-jazz I know of that still fux up dance floor. I saw Mark Farina a few months ago and even though I had listened to this gem for years, there was something else being heard by a mass group of people. As a 49 year old black chick who grew up with jazz, dance music, and experimental music, I was THRILLED to hear him spin this song. I actually freaked out with happiness
this cut was my intro to Lonnie smith...long forgotten...thanks for the reminder Douglas Majette...Muhammad ali's theme song ...RIP ,The Greatest!!!
Too good! Can get lost in every piece, from bass line to bells to the organ to voice and your imagery follows all beautifully. Thanks, Dougy52!
We need to engage in the discussion about how the sound effects us as a society and get together as individuals in love of each other and respect the teachings of Christ as a whole

The bass player's fingers must have bled after finishing this track.
This song should be the USA national anthem.......Hameen/Berns 580/610
actually called Expansions but still THE BEST FCUKIN SONG ON THE PLANET SONNN!!!
Stetsesonic sampled this
Fantastic track ,great conception of music, as in the time of John Coltrane, and "My favourite things", music can also be developed with just two chords. To communicate something with music you do not need the singing virtuosity for example of the opera (which I partly hate, and here on the Italian side, we are tired of Bocelli & company), we want to return instead to the authentic funk and musical culture of the 80s , with the best musicians on the planet. Exceptional here also the flute, even if in this version, a little cut ..
How quite you have!!!
