- Got Friends have released a wonderful bush plane from Poland called the PZL-104 Wilga 80. It's reasonably priced, fantastically modelled, flies well, and everything seems to work!

Cheers Jonathan! Thanks for reviewing our Wilga and sharing your experience with the community! The wilga is indeed noisy, one cool tip, we added working aviation headphone simulation. Click those audio jacks, and it will plug in your headset cables visually, and throw a low pass filter in the cockpit audio to simulate wearing a headset to protect your ears!
As for the attidude indicator, its a soviet style of ADI that drove me mad trying to get used to. We studied how the real one worked and i must admit, even after like 6 months working on this project, I find myself returning to the 80X varient with a digital ADI that functions in a way I understand better.

SUCH A COOL PLANE! I was wondering if you were going to visit this one. It's so quirky and different, which is very true to form for GotFriends. I love the UV lights that light up all the radium dials. I also noticed how aggressive the flaps are, which is very good for STOL stuff. That artificial horizon is so wacky and unique. The 80X version of the plane that comes with the set has a more traditional one, in a digital gauge. It's quite interesting how they've made all the versions so different. That one does have a very basic GPS with flight planning and AP but none of them will give you a NAV mode lol, but the great news is it's also very nice to hand fly and trims out very nicely, unlike some planes that you can never seem to get trimmed well. It sounds very nice too, but it's a bit strange that the sound doesn't change when you close the door. Maybe they'll change that later. Please fly this more! It's the best small bush plane in the sim.

Ok, the guitar completely sold me.
First the Beaver, now the Wilga. Initially, I didn't want to buy it but I think I'll reconsider and get ready for a very STOLish Christmas. Need to fly the Islander again as well😉

'Paddle mode' in the float variants is a great little feature too, allowing you to precisely dock the plane. Feels a bit weird to control using the yoke or a flight stick, but it gets the job done, and is pretty fun actually having that control in the water. Was seriously impressed with this little plane - so much included! Have yet to give the smoke a try, but saw someone else using theirs over the farm, and looked pretty decent! Nice review!

Its a lovely little plane and a lot of fun, very immersive to fly. Round the farm this evening ther were about 6 or 7 Wilgas all buzzing around in MP.

Just flew around here about half an hour ago, in VR. Love this bird. I would crab into the xwind until touch down.
I'll give it a try with some serious cross-winds one day :)
I believe it also has a headset you can wear, which reduces the ambient noise.
And you can rest in the hammock too.
Yes - it does - you just click the audio jacks in the cockpit and it plugs the headset in.
Where I live in the Aeroclub, there is a PZL Wilga put up as a museum exhibit. I flew this aircraft and my impressions of the flight are very positive. Greetings aviation fans.😃🤭🤗

Picked it up yesterday, no doubt my favourite bush plane so far, the extra complexity to startup procedure is very satisfying. Fun to fly in the Idaho mountains between the airstrips by following the rivers, some lovely addon scenery round there. Just would like to see an AP added to the clipboard so I can go hands off when flying cross country and hop between my burning blue designs strips. Enabling AP via controls and then enable wing leveler does seem to work at least.
But... the real plane has no autopilot :)
The sounds were taken from the real Wilga that is at the farm that is modelled. Been flying it all day and I love it.

How did you leave the cockpit to play the guitar. External view does not allow you to interact with it, and in cockpit view i can't leave the cockpit. How the heck did you leave the cockpit??

IS THAT A WIPER ON THE WINDSHIELD ?? so cool hahah and oh my god that was alot of buttons checlist just to start the plane ! :O and why i dont see it in the market place ?
The marketplace lags behind developers sites.

Also does anyone know how to turn off the smoke. It auto turns on anytime the engine is on.
I've not had that happen - you must be turning the smoke on?! It's in the clipboard, and there are controls for it in the cockpit.
G'day Lonn, I managed to respond to your email in regards to this when i woke up this morning. We did bind the smoke to "taxi lights" simvar so it works in multiplayer and is easy to toggle for players using a joystick with extra buttons. What can happen though, is if you have a physical switch that has a set position (i.e for me, my thrustmaster warthog throttle has a physical switch i bound to taxi lights), if I leave the physical switch in the on-position, it constantly sends a signal to the sim that that variable is on. Therefore its not possible for me to uncheck the "smoke generator" from the clipboard. The fix is simply to put the physical switch to the off position so its not sending that command to the sim, and the clickable box on the clipboard will work again as intended.

If you ever seen one in real life youd be scared and run run run far away lol and in the air would realy cause alot of stress lol but the sim version looks like loads of fun.
