Remo Roto Tom restoration

I disassemble this roto tom and straighten all of the bent parts, clean threads and paint the bottom ring before assembly.

you can touch up the black parts on Rotos with a black Sharpie.

Mine are chrome on the bottom.I’ll have to find a Stan a friend of mine found them at a landfeld were he works

Which came first? Chrome bottoms or Black?

Hmmm.. My friend..First: You are rather brutal, in your unscrewing of the rods, using fast dreive! ..Don`t!..Second: It`s Die-cast!!.. You´re tosing it around like.. :-(.. Do not hammer it up! replace it! Metal do not like, to be hammered on, when cold!.Especially die-cast! When painting: HEAT IOT UP!..Then Watersand it, before painting!.. I have restored quite a few of these.. your method are quite....welll....Rethink, what you are doing...:-) Look into,, how metals are working, when you are doing serious strain, towards the die and the metal... Sorry, to be so negative, but you are making my restoration God real dizzy .. :-(.... :-(
