When "Moonie" (aka "Moon the Lune" or Keith Moon) introduces you and likes your music, you've made it, and that's good enough for me. These guys kicked 1970's butt.

Way back in 1973, before most anyone had heard of BTO, and even though they were canadian, they lived a little north of me in the border community of Blaine, WA, on a farm that Bachman brothers owned. It's there that they wrote most, if. not all of the numbers for their first 2 albums, including this iconic song. The cool part is, before they started their first tour they did a series of very-small-venue appearances all over Washington State - sort of a road trip shake-down tour. A few of the songs from their first album were getting significant play time on local FM stations (Gimme' You Money Please/ Little Gandy Dancer, etc), they were just starting to get traction nationally, and I'd already bought the first album. When I heard they were booked to do a show near me, at a converted movie theater in the tiny town Roy, WA, I called all of my friends (most of whom had never heard them) and we made the 45 min drive to Roy where we, along with maybe another 100 folks, were literally blown away by probably the best live show I've ever seen. It's truly one of the best memories of my early life.

@@RCH45ACP I see it differently a little, I see it as he works and he's "Takin' Care of Business" but he doesn't see his work as work because he has the outlook he enjoys his work and has fun at it and doesn't see it as it's he's just a slave to the grind like most people do.

Noone can sit still to this video or this song when you hear it. I was at a fair with my kid before and this song came over the airwaves. A whole bunch of us mamas waiting for our kids just started an impromptu line dance. It was hilarious, especially when a bunch of teenage boys walked by and just shook their heads like we were crazy or something. Kids today don't know what fun 70's rock was.

This takes me back to '74 when I saw them live in Tulsa, my hometown, it was my first "rock" concert other than Elvis whom i saw two years before that. I was 12 when I saw BTO and the line up was "Legs Diamond" (opener) "Golden Earring" (played 2nd) and BTO headlined. It was an awesome show and my introduction to rock-n-roll chaos. Many years later i fronted a classic rock band in Tulsa, "Savage Circle" and sang this very song myself as part of our repetoire.
