- The college football game between Baylor and Oklahoma State had a wild ending as Oklahoma State came within inches of winning, but Baylor came up with a huge goal line stand. On fourth down, Oklahoma State appeared to have an angle to get into the end zone but the Baylor play cut him off just inches short of the end zone, making for a dramatic ending. Baylor defated Oklahoma State 21-16 to win the 2021 Big 12 Championship. With the loss, Oklahoma State is out of the College Football Playoff picture.

If they couldn’t win with all of the help they got, they didn’t deserve it in the first place. I have nothing but respect for Coach Gundy and Oklahoma State but Baylor was clearly the better team that game, and it shouldn’t really have been close

Maybe OSU's issue was that they were too busy thinking about the playoffs when they're only a fifth seed going in (and thus not in the playoffs without at least one of #2-#4 losing) and not busy enough thinking about today's opponent.
Imagine getting 4 turnovers, controlling the ball 70% of the game, and BARELY WINNING.

I’m so glad the fans treated you well! I was in the student section at that game, and from my perspective, there were honestly a lot of nasty words said. Baylor has some great manners generally, but I think the religious divide opened some primal instinct in McLane Stadium. Glad to hear you didn’t have to experience it…

How many of Matt Rhule’s recruits are still on the Baylor team? When he left Temple, Temple had a couple of good seasons immediately after, because his recruits mostly stayed. Once they left, Temple was no longer as good.

Baylor is the national champ in basketball and now big 12 champs in football. Not bad for a smaller private school with half the resources of a school like Texas.

If you go back to the 3rd & goal play right after it started at 0:35, they did have the middle of the field right at the goal line open. Don’t know if it would’ve worked , but they might’ve been better served having a receiver reroute himself to that spot. It looked like there were mostly linemen coming after him and a member of the secondary was far enough away that it was worth a shot.

What a game. Both programs looking really well positioned moving forward. Outstanding individual effort on that 4th down play at the very end. You also love to see the sportsmanship captured at the end there with the players.

What a game. Hats off to the Baylor defense. OK St had 2 possessions inside the 1 with 1st and goal and came away with 3 points.
The commentator was amazing on that 4th down call, that excitement is what we were all feeling.

At 1st and goal I thought Baylor would just let them score, so their offense had a chance for a FG to tie or win, pending to 2 pt conversion
But Dave Aranda trusted his defense to hold. And his reward is a Conference Championship.
I mean Baylor started calling time outs with about 2:45 left in the game...they were thinking they might need to go down and kick a field goal to win it. After OSU kept running time off the clock though it didn't matter anyway.
That running back will spend a long time thinking of all the things he should have done on that run. What he should be thinking is, if our QB hadn’t thrown 39 interceptions this game, I wouldn’t have had to make this desperate run.
Hellova play by the defensive player though.

The worst play calling I've ever seen on the goal line. Had 2 drives on the 1 yard line and couldn't get in either time. They even have sanders who can push himself for extra yards, yet they didn't call 1 qb sneak

OSU had so many opportunities to score a TD to tie it and to go ahead. they got stopped earlier and had to settle with a field goal.

When the ref threw the flag in the end zone, the play before Okis St's final four attempts I just left to pick
up a pizza. I couldn't find a single radio station broadcasting or giving updates, so I just assumed, first
down from the 2, the Cowboys won. It wasn't until I saw the final in the scroll screen beneath the Cincy
Houston game ... I had to seek out the ending.

Well Baylor despite having 2 losses, has a conference title and more wins against ranked teams, but Notre Dame will most likely get it cause of having one loss (and money).

Am I the only one who thinks the running back should’ve easily had that? It was one on one and he had the edge all he had to do was use some power to get through him instead of completely avoiding him. I know I have no idea how to be a running back and it’s a lot easier than it looks but that seemed pretty easy.

I don't understand how Oklahoma State was able to march 70 yards only to be stopped at the goal line. This happened similarly in the previous run where they were stopped at the 5 yard line and had to kick a field goal.
To be fair, the goal line is very, very hard to score on. A defense doesn’t have much ground to cover, as opposed to the hundred yard field. I think was Ray Lewis and mentioned that in those situations in football, you know you have to stay with each potential ball carrier or receiver in the offense, and not let anything get behind you. Otherwise, that’s a touchdown.
