Like Warren said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

Great video! Wondered if you have any advice on relocating? I'm moving from Scotland UK. I run a tech business here which is doing well but looking for a lifestyle change, and my partner has secured a transfer with his Norwegian employer. I'm trying to navigate the paperwork and best order to do things, I'd like to set up as an AS company (similar to Limited company in UK), but seems as though the immigration rules look for a sole proprietorship which is like a single person company... Struggling to find the best way to proceed, any tips or advice wold be awesome! :D

Hello there ! I have recently found your channel and I love it so
far! Thank you so much for the info you provide us, I appreciate your
efforts and your willingness to help! I would like to ask you a
question, but first I have to describe my personal status and
situation, so sorry in advance ,if it takes too long ..! I am a 2nd year
resident in general surgery in my country(Greece) . I would like to move to
Norway to continue my residency (or at least start from scratch ) . I
was thinking of going to northern region, in order to match a general surgery
program there, because I have been told that its very very difficult to
match a residency program in major cities such as Oslo and
hospitals .My question is: Is General Surgery a very
competitive residency from (matching system point of view) and is it a
good idea of me going to Northern parts of the country? I am currently on a b1-b2 level in
Swedish language(cause I could not find a teacher for Norwegian language, and I know that I need C1, but i cannot afford to
start online courses in Folkuniversitetet or something similar to it, because i quit to focus on
learning Svenska! , So I am thinking of coming to a large city , (or anywhere
else) to work as an underläkare, or even as a worker if I have to...And
continue there the language courses ! Any kind of advise or tip for my
situation? Keep up the good work !

Hi. Thank you for watching. In this video, I showed most wanted jobs, but the other types are available as well. The only difference is that with population a bit over 5 million, the number of all opened positions is about 20000, from which only 85% are full-time. I would recommend to use LinkedIn and Finn.no for job search, as well as directly sites of the companies you are interested in.

Business/economy are the most popular bachelor/master degrees in 2020. Probably also has been for the last 5-10 years. So the demand in the market for foreign workers in that field, I reckon it's not very high. If you get picked for such a position, I'm pretty certain that person would be picked because of exceptional experience not obtainable in Norway.

(skilled worker) is because the CV from the applicant not match with the formal work offer from Norway (in detail) or the position offered no require qualification, Can you give some recommendations about this?.

    • @IvannasNorskLife
      @IvannasNorskLife  Před 3 lety

Hi. Generally speaking, it is hard to say. There could be different reasons. First reason is related to the education and experience that are not related to the offered work. So if you are educated as computer scientist, but received a job offer in agriculture. In this case application will be rejected most likely. Another case is if in the work offer document for UDI (official type of document) is written that it is required to have master’s degree, while applicant holds only bachelor degree (my employer almost did such mistake). So, I would recommend to check all your documents and if something is unclear, talk to your employer as well. If your employer is Norwegian, most likely (s)he doesn’t understand importance of such small details. You can always contact UDI before submitting your application.

Hello Pratik, one great resource that is free is here: www.ntnu.edu/norwegiancourse/norwegian-on-the-web
Here are a few ideas I have learned while trying to learn Norwegian.
      1) Nearly all online programs using spoken Norwegian are made in the Oslo dialect. You will need to learn about the different dialects and be ready to understand some of the differences so you will not become confused and frustrated. The good thing is nearly all written text is made in Bokmål, but there was some effort to create a written system called Nynorsk. I am of the opinion that Norwegians have pride in the dialect where they were raised. Respect that.
      2) You will need to have a solid understanding of basic grammar rules, like what an adverb is and sentence structure rules. This is important because Norsk has rules that might be different than what your native language uses, so you will need to recognize a change in sentence building. For example, Norsk uses gendered nouns and the ending letters determine its gender. This is further complicated when adjectives relate to the noun.
      3) Prepare your mind and mouth to learn very new ways of pronouncing letters. It is rather tricky for me to correctly pronounce the Norwegian O and U and also Y and I letters. These differences are subtle but very important. There are also letter combinations that will be new, like KJ and KV but if you learn the new muscle movements of your tongue and lips, you will actually be understood when you properly pronounce the pronoun 'du' and words like kjører.
      4) Finally, get out there and try to find a native speaker who can help you with pronunciation. There are several forums and apps that give you 30 seconds or more to record yourself and the native can give you feedback.

Hi. One of the options is described here: www.udi.no/en/want-to-apply/work-immigration/exchange-programmes-culture-and-organisational-work/?c=ukr#link-864 . The second option: you can search for an appropriate position here: www.nmbu.no/om/ledige-stillinger or the third option would be considering to take a degree in agriculture.
