This video should explain exactly what happened to my channel, and where things are up to now. But for those who just want the short version: Alex hasn’t dropped the strikes, but MagnatesMedia is NOT getting deleted! 🥳
To Alex Edson (I know you’ll be watching this & filing a false privacy claim like you did to all the other creators)... I have deliberately NOT shared some of the more serious allegations against you that people have privately sent me, as I now consider this matter over. Assuming you don’t attack me or any other creators again, then I’ll go back to making my normal videos, you can go back to filing patents, and we can hopefully all move on with our lives.
Obviously if Alex does try to come after me or anyone else, then there is A LOT more to show you all. I also now have comprehensive media insurance in place & 100’s of you have messaged about a gofundme for a countersuit - so if Alex does escalate things, we should be able to get some important case law in place to protect creators.
However I imagine Alex is unlikely to wanna draw even more attention to his past activities, so hopefully this is now the end of it, and this will be the last time I ever need to mention the name Alex Edson.

Happy to hear you are filing suit for false DMCA against him. That was something that kept popping into my head the whole time this drama had been going on, that if you file a false DMCA you are responsible for loss of income and can be sued over it.

CZcams will never fix the issue because they don't care. The only care about money, and how much they make. Unless something is directly cutting into their profits, they couldn't give less of a damn.
@Zeal not only won't they likely can't. CZcams is following dcma and probably can't do something to prevent this behavior without violating dcma. Maybe on the backend like if some jerk acts like business casual they can be punished but they can't stop the front end of copyright strike abuse

The content that you have been creating is something that I have never seen anywhere else in the internet, let alone anywhere else in youtube. You compile large texts of plain old boring history into interesting videos. The work that you have been doing is truly amazing. You make history interesting. The internet only tends to show all the good about the world; stories about succesful companies, and if anything else about companies, then only the good, not the bad.
But you, are different my friend.
You are not like all the other ones.
You equally show about failed companies, failed people, bad hidden stories of companies as much as the good.
You are one of the very few people who, instead on focusing on gathering attention of the CZcams algorithm, rather focus on fulfilling your goal of conveying complete information.

I had an incident with a channel where they had shown a document I created and shared privately. They used it during a video, falsified the reasoning of my watermark, and discredited me completely.
I filed a strike when they chose not to publicly apologize and a credit me as the source. The channel responded with a counter which meant now I had to sue or else YT would unblock the video. I came to the same realization you expressed in this video that it's too costly.
My point being, it cuts both ways. Glad you're back making these epic documentaries.

There should be a YT rule against doing 3 strikes at the same time.
Yea, the rule should be that CZcams manually verifies the strikes. It’s not that hard for them to just throw a couple of people at manually reviewing them before deleting someone’s channel

@@zach237 That’s not what I said. I’m talking about specifically the channels that get hit with 2-3 strikes back to back should be manually reviewed. That’s a way more manageable workload than reviewing literally everything
@@TheCompyshopthere’s issues with them verifying strikes, though. I received a “cyber bullying and harassment” strike on a channel of mine that had to do with reviewing music - in other words that strike made zero sense for the content I’m making. I had CZcams review this strike all the way up to management and they replied repeatedly with the same robotic response that the strike was correct. I asked how I violated the rule in detail and they declined to specify because that would allow people to “get around the policy rules” - an absurd reply because it would help people FOLLOW policy. In short, the CZcams system is HIGHLY broken including their staff
I had the same thing when I created a complete social media presence for my brand during covid. Then I built my online business. In 2021, someone registered a business using my business name...that person then contacted me on social media, with threatening letters to remove the name and close my business as they had it registered. In my case, I gave in and lost everything. I'm glad you stood your ground and fought it.

Sadly thats the law. CZcams has to follow rules like DMCA and sadly those said laws demans that the platforms take the word of the accusor first. Its mot a solo issue to copyright. Same exact problem can be found in many places like sex assault claims in colleges always take the girl's word as scripture and ignoring anything the guy has to offer in defense.

My guess is as always that youtube shortcuts the ordeal cause they always do. I've seen some guys left off the hook for actual crimes put on video on this platform, whilst actual good guys are terminated. Damnit this platform is fucking awful.

I just found u through recommendations yesterday and I really enjoyed your videos. I read some comments who were mentioning your channel was about to get deleted or something like that. I didn't know the reason and I also didn't try to research about it but CZcams recommended me this video today. Haha CZcams recommendations are sure very helpful sometimes. Didn't even know know you've made a video on it. Good to see that the issue is solved.

Glad to see a positive outcome. I'm hoping the laws here in the US can be reformed soon to prevent this kind of copyright trolling, and patent trolling which Alex also seems to be involved in. Once that happens, CZcams should be able to re-tool their system to prevent this kind of thing entirely.

I am very happy that you were able to save your channel. I can see a lot of hard work goes into your videos. I wish the community would come to everyone's rescue how got treated unfairly by Google. I got banned from Adwords 13 years ago for doing something wrong that I still don't know what. I have asked Google to review it several times or at least tell me what I have done wrong and all they ever do is come back to say I am banned for life for violating their policies. They never allow me to escalate it, they never tell me what policy I breached and they treat me like a criminal. Only thing is that even murders go free after a while. With Google though, the convict you for life even if you don't know what you did wrong. A murder can appeal their sentence. Google sentences you once and for all. You can consider yourself very lucky, because once Google comes form you, it is over forever. I am being treated worse than a murderer by Google

As a relatively new creator, it's been scary to see there are guys like Alex out there with the sad but scary inclination to take it all away at a moment's notice. I started watching your business documentaries in late 2022 and was immediately hooked. Your editing and storytelling skills are amazing. I initially didn't get to see the carnegie video before Alex took it down and was confused as to why you hadn't uploaded in a while. I scrolled down on YT search and seen upper echelons first video on the situation. I was actually really scared. Your content is amazing and your my favourite producer of business mini movies and documentaries. I really didnt want your channel to go. To say I'm so happy the channel is back up now is an understatement. A huge congratulations to you for pulling through this and I hope Alex learns his lesson.

A competitor of my sister's business filed a complaint with FB that she wasn't who she claimed to be and screwed her business over the holiday period. Bad actors use the system for their malicious ends
Literally found your channel because of the drama. Binged a few videos and loved them! The drama did the opposite and brought more people to your channel and it also shows because you have top notch editors and script! Keep going with your content!!!
