I'm glad to have you here on my channel for the the first video of the series "Exploring Italy", a journey across the cities, the culture, the traditions and the gastronomy of Italy that will help you to improve your Italian and experience "La Dolce Vita".
Today we are going to visit Salerno, a little jewel in the south of Italy, which is also my hometown.

Ciao professoressa Luna! I love your videos. I am an American and want to buy a home in Campania and move there in 2026. I visited Salerno last year and visited your favorite gelato shop, and it was yummy. I am coming again April 12 - May 20 and will spend a few days in Salerno and two weeks in Altavilla Silentina. I am taking an Italian class on EdX and your videos are great help too!

Grazie! I am trying to learn some Italian as my lawyers are in the last stages of prepping to apply for my dual Italian citizenship! My great-grandfather came from a small town near Salerno (inland) and I think it would be nice sized city to go to first. I'm OLD (72) and hoping it's not too late!
