Welcome to Let's Learn Italian with Luna! If you are studying Italian, this channel will provide a wealth of valuable lessons, information, and tools to help accelerate your learning progress.
Luna is a professional, certified teacher from the south of Italy with a degree in Foreign Languages and a DITALS certification (Didattica dell’Italiano come Lingua Straniera or Italian as a Foreign Language). A native Italian speaker, Luna is also fluent in English, Spanish and French, so she truly understands the challenges of learning a new language, which is apparent in her patient, empathetic style of teaching.
Luna has worked as an actress in both theater and film, and that experience shows in her CZcams channel through her comfortable and relaxed nature in front of the camera, and in the entertaining way she presents her content. Her love of travel and meeting people from all over the world also stands out and adds a very unique element to her videos.

The MOST important Italian verb - 'FARE', and a trip to Central Park
Moral: it’s important to remember that verbs which are often possessive in English are usually non-possessive in italiano. We TAKE a picture or a shower. We HAVE breakfast. In Italian, these are not things you have, but rather things you do. Possessive verbs, prendere, avere, etc, only apply in italiano when you actually possess the item in question. If the object in the sentence is an item, then you’re free to use possessive, I.e. prendere una penna dalla tavola, avere due gatti neri, etc. But if the object of the sentence is something which is done rather than physically possessed, Italian uses a more precise verb for conjugation.

Colazione means breakfast. Supper should be “cena” ( I’m more familiar with the word dinner) 😊
