I'm a millennial without kids, so I'm clueless about this: Do you know if they are teaching school-age kids and teens about social media and media literacy? Because I think that doing this would really help our country. If they aren't, then they should be! And it needs to start way before high school or college.
Like the reality that corporate profits are at a record breaking all time high while the prices at the grocery store, that regular people are expected to pay on their 7.50 minimum wage, are 4 times what they were 10 years ago because of greedflation?

A lot of people think the economy is bad because they have less and less money left (if any) after paying their bills and buying groceries each month. Real wages stopped rising with GDP growth in the 70s, and since then workers have continued to receive less and less of the value they create, while millionaires and billionaires are taking more and more.
Take the national restaurant association perfect example of how anyone who works a restaurant job is paying for their own demise. In multiple ways.
And Mr T wants to give another tax break to the billionaire class back in the day CEOs made 20% more than the workers now its 360%. Price gouging is real they have to afford their Jets somehow while we drive through the potholes and pay for their debt and try to afford a new tire. Mr doo doo only paid $750 in taxes last year how is that fair. By the way food prices would probably be lower if we had migrant labor to harvest it and we weren't having to pay crop insurance for farmers who don't have anyone to harvest and have to till that under. The same ones who scream about pulling yourself up by the bootstraps have no problem getting subsidized by our tax dollars for their Harvest gone bad
and Trump did his part to insure they dont have to pay their fair share for our gov. expenses as we do. Yet he thinks they should have all the control. You pay you play, I say. no one who does not pay the same rate of taxes I do should have any say in governing me or our government period.

To be fair, "the economy" can be an ambiguous term. GDP can be going up, unemployment can be down, while wages stay stagnant and prices keep soaring. In other words "the economy" can be doing great, while you personally might experience more economic hardship. These polls might speak more to the unequal distribution of wealth in America.
But the market is up, GDP is up, and unemployment is down. The indicators are in lock step.
You may be struggling, but you are not the economy...

The Former President who cried Assassination: A Children's Story
There once was a former president who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village nearby. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "assassin! assassin! The assassin is chasing me!"
The secret service came running up the hill to help the former president drive the assassin away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no assassin. The former president laughed at the sight of their angry faces.

The stock market is not an accurate reflection of the condition of the vast majority of Americans. Unemployment is down because more people than every need to work multiple jobs just to stay afloat, and people feel like we're in a recession because we have to pay eight dollars for a burger but nobody's getting raises except corporate.

People seem to just flip a coin when asked for their opinion on an issue they believe having an opinion on makes them seem smart.
We have the same issue with perception in Canada. The Liberal Party has done remarkably well weathering the global economic crisis and COVID. We have one of the lowest interest rates of our allies, our economy is growing faster than expected, etc.
Yet people seem to think the LPC are turning Canada into a dystopian wasteland.
