I was in the front row and the energy we received from them was amazing best moment of my life the crowd was singing and dancing truly a magical nigh❤❤
I remember that night like it just happened. My first concert. I was just a little off to the right and 15 feet away from the stage. Just imagine a little chubby 12 year old girl screaming out her lungs and yelling "I love you" to Damon Alburn lol. I will never forget it. And just the fact that me and my dad went back to the stage a couple minutes after it ended and got the set list from the stage. It was Damon Alburn's. It has his writing and still has the tape on it. Gorillaz will always have a place in my heart ❤️
Because in the original song he sings in falsetto, a vocal technique that allows the singer to hit high notes easily, but with an "airy" tone which is hard to use for a long time, (Another song where Damon uses his falsetto is Sound Check, of the First Album, if you listen closely, you can ascertain that he hits the high notes with extreme ease). For that reason, when they perform Tranz live, Damon sings 1 octave lower/deeper voice, while the chorus sings the high octave "2D's voice". But, in the refrain, you can actually hear Damon singing in the same pitch that in the album ("Do you dance like this forever?) although he's using his real voice, not falsetto, so he's sort of belting the notes, which is understandable, since he sings a particular note that is too high for his voice type (baritone).
I was 8 when this concert happend, sadly I wasn't old enough to use real youtube (I grew up on youtube kids) and I never heard of the band till earlier this year, so I wasnt able to get into it as much as I am now, hopefully next year I will be able to go to a concert where they play this here! This was the first song I listened to by them and it no joke changed my life, it all started from here folks, and its not ending for a long, long time >:DDD
Okay, that chorus is _amazing._
Everybody in the concert joined in as well
One of the best tracks of the night. This song took on a new level of intensity live.

Honestly, I love the octave lower. The Deeper voice makes it a much cooler sound than the commercial track
Flew from the East Coast to experience this festival, and it was amazing.
Лэми You don’t know where San Andreas is then
@Thomas L *cough cough it's damon albarn's real voice cough cough*
I like how the live guitarist puts more passion into the song than Noodle does
AWWW I LOVED SEEING THEM LIVE
He did 2 D’s voice perfectly in Souk Eye, why so deep??

GSN cool! thanks for the info.
he cant do 2-D's voice as a regular thing.... he only does it during videos and extras... sometimes he tries to do it during concerts.

if you listen to the studio version hard enough you can hear his voice normally
Was in the front row though out the whole festival, it was amazing!
This is one of my favorite songs from Gorillaz. The Now Now is underrated.
