Amazing video, going to be using this video as a reference for my project
It’s a topic that people usually do wrong and it makes it so much harder. So I wanted to make a video outlining it. I hope I covered it all well enough!
Great video, Garrett. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
Thank you!
Looks like you scored some decent interior parts on that one.
Yeah. Not too shabby on this. The cab was completely hosed, so I saved it all from the shredder.
Appreciate this video, got to do a cab swap and got a rust free shell and was nervous about having to swap everything over but this made it not so scary
These trucks aren’t too bad to work on as long as you know what you’re doing. Haha.
Swapping everything isn’t bad. Just gotta take your time!
@@GarrettsOBSGarage yeah I got to pull the cab bc it’s rotted out, swap everything to the new cab, replace cab brackets on frame, core support etc. typical rust areas on these
@@ixstxzi1819 oh yeah. Know all about those issues! Get the S&B cab mounts. Best on the market right now.
@@GarrettsOBSGarage Is there any tools or parts I should pickup to make smoother operation and be prepared for the swap?
@@ixstxzi1819 for the cab swap?
AC disconnect tools, torque wrench, impacts, larger metric sockets like 24 for the new bolts. An induction heater is useful.
looks like a PA sticker
that cab looks familiar
Weird. Haha
Can the dash be removed and keep the truck running? Selling a dash out of a parts truck and need to make sure it still runs to move it around the yard
Technically yes. The dash wiring must be installed for the truck to run, but not the dash itself.
Would you sell that dash
Possibly. Shipping it would be a nightmare
@@GarrettsOBSGarage yeah I thought of that too, I’m in Florida and it’s impossible to find a good dash here cause the heat makes them all crack
@@pablo_santos29 you’re not the first person I’ve heard that from lately! They crack up here too, just not as bad.
