Let me explain myself. I was just explaining what Duterte did to the Pope to Wendel who I thought did not know what Duterte did. It has nothing to do with praising the Pope as god. Also, my stance in this matter is neutral. I do not want to take sides since I am still having doubts on who to vote. Duterte has good leadership qualities, however there are some of his ideas which I cannot agree on.

To those who have a misplaced idea of NOT picking Miriam because she is less popular than others, and think their vote will go to waste:
Don't forget we have a mandate and ultimate moral obligation too to scrutinize and elect the right one. This is definitely not a fly-by-night event popularity contest. Our future hinges on the right candidate, believe me. Miriam definitely can. I can see the Philippines' next leadership need a lot of prayers. On the same token, we need to be critical of how we cast our vote. Avoid being too fixated to someone out of frustration.
Just because someone is popular doesn't mean everybody is obliged to rally behind him. That is a big disservice and simply a misconception. Don't waste your vote. Cast your rights because that is what your conscience tells you to. DON'T BE LIKE FEW WHO ARE SO PROUD TO BE IDENTIFIED FROM A MOB OF BLEATING SHEEP.

I will vote for MDS-BBM. I know Miriam will not win because it is a numbers game but I will vote for someone who knows the law inside and out and who tries to be impartial when judging cases. With BBM, I like his track record with Ilocos and the bills he authored. I am not a Marcos loyalist nor a yellow follower. Sadly, I even voted for Cory before, but I learned my lesson the hard way. MDS has broad experience in Judiciary (local Judge, international), Legislative (Senate), Executive (Sec of Immigration, Agriculture, etc.) MDS has Internationl Global Standard of Approach. It's not the point, of course alam nila yun bilang mamamahayag. Pero iba kasi yung degree of relevance pf the statement kapag sa katulad ni Sen. MDS nanggaling ang paliwanag given the fact na isa sya sa candidate for President and the issue they are tackling with is about her co-candidate. The haters of Poe might rejoice after watching this and Sen. MDS is aware of that too pero the way she answers the question, you can clearly see and feel that there is no hidden agenda in her answers, kaya nga nagso-sorry pa sya eh kasi pwedeng ikasira ni Poe ang mga katotohanan na isinagot nya. But then, given the nature of her work and her philosophy, hindi na nakakapag-taka na makasagot sya ng maayos ng walang naaapakang iba and this video is a proof.

Grace Poe should be allowed to run as president. In this interview, Mirriam said the requirements for President, vice president and senators are the same. Grace Poe is currently a senator and none (Supreme Court and Comelec) seemed to have disqualified her for being senator. Why would they disqualify her this time? I've seen her performed in the SAF 44 inquiry and she is very good..calm, organized and firm. At 2:51 in this interview, Mirriam seemed to avoid to answer directly when the hosts ponder further that Grace Poe did not do anything to become a naturalized born citizen. Instead, she's chosen to say that Grace Poe is a dual citizen which is past. She knew being her competitor, it will be to her advantage to say it :). Maybe Grace Poe is not as spectacular and constitutionaly genius as she is, but she (Grace Poe) seemed to have a way of her own to achieving her goals. Mirriam in this interview revealed she does not watch Filipino movies and yet proclaims International Law should not apply to the Philippines, a contrasting point of view! What would the Filipino artists, producers and movie goers say to this?
I'll vote for Miriam.. But if I'm Miriam and I win, I will put Duterte as DILG or DOJ Secretary or maybe in the Armed Forces or PNP... But Duterte as President??? I still have doubts unlike Miriam who has served both in local gov & the senate.. Plus her credentials as atty/judge and educational background says it all. And just like Duterte, she is keen and determined to fight corruption.. Being the iron lady of Asia, she already established her name as well in International politics and is already known by other leaders of other countries..
