Yes majority of the work done between my dad and I. The engine running and setup done by Moreland Moto Shack in Essex. Ignitions we had our fair share of issues initially with a weak spark or burning out. Found just running an original was the best thing which can be hard to source
Too fast I know. It was first start and first Maico. I've had a fair few since with the latest two both being the reed valve versions. Neither tick over but are great when racing on track

I had a '71 Maico 400. It sounded almost as sweet as 0:48 your 490 . I still feel the vibration on my right hand!

It was when we got it yes but since switched from the bing carb and gone onto putoline mx9 purely from a reliable racing perspective
