  • I picked up a simple shot scout lt slingshot a couple months ago, and wanted to share how far the slingshot world has come in the last couple years. Nathan Masters at simple-shot.com has done a great job of making a very cool slingshot, and system to go with it.

    I have a Sparrow and recently 2 Bean Flips. Loving the Ocularis band attachment. Fires and drought in California have made river fishing tough. After morning coffee I take my catch box to my fishing spot and plink for hours; great way to spend my golden years.

    My Boston does the same exact thing with the barking when I shoot my scout LT. I have to put him in the bedroom when I want to shoot

      wyatt is getting better, he is up to between 2 and 3 shots without going crazy. of course I have to give him a treat afterwards though...... :}

    As for the band in cold weather you use a higher number such as a .7 where in summer you use a lower number such as .6. All bands are matched to the ammo size and weather. At 10 degrees Fahrenheit you won't catch me outside specially living in New York and trying to pinch the ammo to shoot with gloves will not help any, i am playing darts indoors instead., Peace.

    You can still wrap and tuck on that slingshot. Just remove the clips and screws. That's what I've done with mine. Also, your knives are exquisite. 👍

    My dogs do the same exact thing when I use my axiom ocularis. They go absolutely bonkers

    Interesting. Heck these are a million miles away from the home made catapults we used to make cut from a tree as kids.

      i never played with the tree fork slingshots as a kid, I always had the wrist rocket type made from tubing and tube bands. but I made my first tree fork slingshot about 2 weeks ago and it is a ton of fun :}

      Not if you use the same bands.

    I noticed that you have the simple shot torque on the table as well. I was wondering if you have a positive opinion on that model? Thanks for your time Mr. Calton.

      shaun, the torque is a good frame, I like it and do pretty well with it, but right now I like frames that I can shoot with either hand {with the bands installed the same way} the most, and while you can shoot the torque with either hand, you would have to change the bands in between.
