I know it has been a looong time since I last posted but I am back with a satisfying makeover, which I am so excited to share with you! I know I have been gone a while but I explain why in this video. I appreciate you all sticking with me, even when I allow myself a much-needed break!

Denise you have four children, a husband, a home to manage etc so don’t ever feel guilty for taking a break! I can’t imagine anyone unsubscribing to you. Do what is right for you, no explanation required! Wow you sure work hard. I absolutely LOVE this bookcase transition. I also love how you kept the top a natural wood. Great job! 💕

Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves czcams.com/users/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

I have said before but you guys are so good at keeping the integrity of the mid century vibe of your home and adding the cool modern touches. It's a really unique and beautiful home.
I am glad you posted a CZcams video. I know you are big on Instagram, and I am on it. But I really enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee and watching a video.

Your family is the most important. I'm happy you took the time off. We all need that reprieve so we could focus on what we need for ourselves.
Don’t apologize. Everyone needs a break from time to time. Love your videos and will always watch them. You could always just do a day in the life videos.
There are other tubers, take a short leave, or decide to leave u-tube. Trying to keep videos coming nonstop with a family is a lot. You and your husband has done a lot to make this house a home. You guys have done an excellent job. You did a beautiful job. 🤗

Denise, I commented about the prep kitchen thinking that you hadn’t shown the finished work. I went back and checked for the video and found it. Then I remembered that you had shown everything . You were just waiting for a finish to arrive. Some how I thought it wasn’t shown completed. Da…It is beautiful and the black ties in to the other rooms. Once you finish painting the plant boxes you should do a home tour of all your hard work. So happy you are coming back with videos.
I'm still here, just got back from a European tour, my son got married in Croatia on the island of Brac, so I was happy to see that you posted a video, looking forward to seeing how much the little munchkins have grown. Don't you worry about taking a break, with 4 little ones, life can be full, and what's important is that you spend as much time as possible with them now.

Still here ! So glad you are back. Breaks are sometimes needed. The project came out so nice. Although I know it's not, you make everything look so easy. Loved when your son came over and patted your back. Precious.

Denise I love that you said that about stepping away from something. I do want to step away from my very toxic job right now and just have a few months to figure out me. Not sure I will be able to do that as I am the breadwinner but I will strive to find other ways to give myself grace without feeling like a failure and feeling guilty all of the time. It’s tough being a mom, wife, coworker, taking care of a home, sick parents, the list goes on. Thank you for giving me that permission and reminding me we are all going through it. It helps more than you know.

I cannot believe how long it took you to save that beautiful built in. It looks amazing! I know that many have given you kudos and affirmations- but here’s one more just in case. You are the CFO, CEO, COO, all the OO’s. You get to take a break or rethink how you spend your time. You put your family first and we admire that. The fact that you can find the time to do projects, video and then the never ending edit is amazing. We will be here when you can show up. ☺️
