I like how the channel is called Facts Verse, yet the very first area you discuss, you completely omit facts. Your comments on this are completely untrue.
First of all, it is not caused by magnets/magnetism. It is simply a slight decline downwards that appears as an upwards incline because of its surrounding area. It is only an optical illusion.
Also, these are not the only two places in the world that exhibit this phenomenon. There are many more, and they are often referred to as "gravity hills".
To say that we "don't know why", when there are clear scientific reasons for this phenomenon, is just ignorant.
So I continued to watch, and even the next two videos so far have been blatant bullshit.
The first one is simply the ocean tides eroding the rocks. How is that even remotely a mystery?
The second one, to say that scientists don't know why it's daylight... they do. It's because it's in the Arctic Circle. The exact same reason that this happens in Alaska.
You should change the name of your channel to, "Dumb shit I thought up because I'm too lazy to do any actual research."

The moving rocks of Death Valley has already been explained. It's a thin layer of ice formed during the night, causing the rocks to slide a few inches at a time.

  • @coreymorris1573

The moving rocks is from ice forming under them at night and during the day it melts away causing the rocks to move slightly

Yeah duh. Everywhere north of the arctic circle and south of the antarctic circle have 24 hours of light each day for specific periods of time each year.

    • @MsSilfur
      @MsSilfur Před 5 lety

Not entirely correct though. Near the Arctic Circle in countries such as Norway, Sweden and Finland, you'll have to be far north (ca. Arctic Circle) to experience the midnight sun in the summer, and the farther north your are, the more days you've got to experience it. The farther south you go, the darker the nights will get, and south of the circle you cannot see the midnight sun. Meanwhile in the winter, it doesn't even get all pitch black at day in Alta, Norway, so all darkness in Finland is not right, as Finland's most northern point is south of Alta. Parts of Finland will experience days with no direct sunlight, but there is some daylight :) I almost want to say, it is not as simple as pure daylight or pure darkness across an entire country. It is different from place to place depending on how far south/north it is, and different from day to day, depending on how close it is to midsummer and midwinter :)

Lool I remember learning about the rocks in Death Valley in my geography lesson. It moves because at night the temperature drops below 0 degrees, therefore the ground becomes icy and slippery and since there isn't much friction between the rock and the ground the wind pushes the rock with ease. Well idk if this is true but that's pretty much one thing I remember my teacher telling us in our class

    Probably Ley Lines. Yes, Ley.
Ley lines have a long Geographic and Mysterious History.
In the 70s, a few people believed that Ley Lines were responsible for some of the mysteries concerning the Bermuda Triangle.
    The idea was possible.
However, there are places that cause optical illusions.
Similar to optical (not nuerological) mirages.
    Optical mirages are very cool.

Same phenomenon about magnetic field where buses move up when turned off can be found in the Philippines. It is located between San Carlos City and Bacolod City, Negros Occ in the visayas region of the philippines, when you travel traversing to the mountains. I don t know the exact address because we experience it only when we went to bacolod city via san carlos city. the driver stopped the bus and showed to us how the bus moved up instead of going down.
