    I have the same issue as most with not being able to connect to the app. Very disappointing and I will be returning it if Redux can not resolve this issue. You must have received a very special unit.
    I reached out to customer service. They are sending me an upgraded unit that has the capabilities to provide information on the phone app. Now that is customer service.

    Well, It's been hot here in Iowa, and my daily wear Phonak P70 13T right hearing aid, was acting janky. I've been sweating a lot for sure. I've been drying it every night with the Lux, and then today, I dried it again for a Lux full cycle with no help. I put it in the Redux, and it dried for 201 minutes and reported > 5 uL water removed. The hearing aid works perfectly now. I say money well spent.

    Using it for the last 5 months I dont even know that it have Bluetooth, not working with the app for an unknown reason. Doc did not mention that you only need to run it once a week and yes it sometmore takes more than 90 minutes to complete the cycle. In my case, I clean the HE earlier, put them on the Redux and then move them to the charger or clean them at bedtime put in the redux and when I wakeup in the middle of the night (i always do) move them to the charger, works for me.

    Cool!
    I don’t understand though-why can’t rechargeable ones just be run overnight too? Is that because overnight is when some people charge theirs?
    Mine charge to full in about 30-45 minutes, so I do that when I wake up and then by the time I’m ready, so are they.

    • @getredux8443
      @getredux8443 Před 26 dny

      You can charge rechargeables in the Redux Home overnight! However, we are aware that some will charge their hearing aids overnight. Like you said though, charging is very fast nowadays so this may not be a big issue!

    Got the Redux Home and like it. However, at night, the blue light is quite bright and then it woke me up with the bright blue flashing light indicating that it is removing moisture. Not withstanding the effects of blue light on sleep, is there any way to dim the lights? Also, there was nothing in the documentation about connecting to the Redux app that you showed in the video.

  • @bloodguard
    @bloodguard Před měsícem +1

    It doesn't seem like the app works with the home version. It sees it as HOME_##### so it looks like it does have bluetooth but when you try to connect to it you get "Home unit not supported". Bit disappointing for the price. Still deciding if I'm going to send it back.

    Thank you for this review. It’s nice to have data that supports the value of purchasing a home dehydrator. Could you use this for other in ear devices like Airpods or other smaller electronics devices or is this device strictly for hearing aids only?

    Edit: please disregard this comment. They are a sending me a free swappable upgrade, likely because I purchased this literally days prior to the Bluetooth functionality being released.
    Hey Dr. Cliff. Great review! I think they sent you a non-crippled home unit. I purchased one, received it last week, downloaded the app, and while it connects to the machine, a message pops up saying the home version is not supported.
    Also, on their web site it says it is not supported. Shame on them for sending you a version consumers cannot get.
    Otherwise, a good review and my unit seems effective. I plan on using the Lux drier daily and using this weekly. I’m a tech geek though and would like data😂
    Correction: As of today the website doesn't have anything about the app not being supported on the home unit. It just doesn't mention it at 9:11 .

      Thank you for reaching out. Your Redux HOME doesn’t have the updated hardware to support data through the App. This feature was just released. Would you please provide the HMRT number from the bottom of your unit along with the date and where you purchased your unit so I can see what options are available?

      Great news on your swap! Yes, this is a new feature just launched on July 2nd. We know it's confusing for some users to see that their Redux Home may have bluetooth but doesn't connect to the app. The bluetooth on our original units was for internal/development purposes.

    • @getredux8443
      @getredux8443 Před 26 dny +1

      The Redux Home will remove all moisture from your hearing aids. You really don't need to use those other desiccants, and can keep using your hearing aids!

  • @Max78914
    @Max78914 Před měsícem +1

    One other question for people with rechargeables. Does it or the app know / detect when the hearing aids have been removed and when it’s safe for itself to heat up to dry the beads out after? Or does it alarm to tell you to take them out first but if you don’t it will heat up with them?

    • @getredux8443
      @getredux8443 Před 26 dny

      Great question! There is no harm with the heat even if your hearing aids are within the Redux Home. The heat does not reach above mid-80 degrees Fahrenheit. This is below body temperature, which makes it completely safe and well below manufacturer recommended tolerances.
