  • Exploring an Abandoned convent in Dumfries Scotland
    BRIEF HISTORY OF LOACTION:
St Benedict's Convent, also known as the Convent of the Perpetual Adoration, Corbelly Hill Convent, and Corbelly Hall Convent, was built in Dumfries, Scotland between 1881 and 1884 and extended in 1890. The convent was funded by Marcia, Lady Herries, and the first nuns were brought from Arras. It closed in 1988 and moved to Largs, and the building has been empty for some time, suffering from vandalism and damage from fires.

The cells are where the nuns slept. They were purposefully austere.
