The Sooty Show - Matt's Baby

Sooty hears Matthew talking on the telephone to the doctor about expecting a baby. Soo thinks Sooty must have misheard, but Sweep finds a baby's rattle and a nappy in the corridor. Later Matthew explains that he is going to look after the Doctor's baby, Lauren, for a couple of hours. Sweep tries to keep baby Lauren amused by acting the fool, giving her some milk to drink and her rattle to play with. But the milk gets squirted in Sweep's face and he gets hit over the head by the rattle. Brenda, the lady from Pongo Products Baby Division calls by and tries to sell her baby products. But Matthew thinks Brenda is crazy and makes her leave the house. Sooty and Sweep want to take Lauren out in her pram, but Matthew doesn't trust them, so he puts a doll in the pram instead. Sooty and Sweep go to the park with the pram. They enjoy playing with a frisbee, but it accidentally knocks the brake off the pram and it rolls away from them. Sooty uses his magic to stop the pram running into a pond and then discovers Matthew gave them a doll to take out in the pram instead of baby Lauren. Matthew and Soo sing "Baby Boogie".
