Rainbow - Auntie Pays A Visit
Auntie Patsy comes to visit quite unexpectedly, but Bungle, Zippy and George are not very happy when she has to have their bedroom for the night. Auntie gives Bungle, George and Zippy some gifts, but they are very disappointed with the things she has bought them. Geoffrey reads the story "A Very Special Visitor". Later, before bedtime, Bungle, Zippy and George get some pillows from the bedroom and notice Auntie's vanishing cream and they think it is for making her invisible. That night they become curious to know if Auntie has vanished, so Bungle, Zippy and George creep into the room where Auntie is sleeping to check whether she is still there or not. They wake Auntie up, but luckily she finds it funny when they explain about them thinking the vanishing cream was to make her invisible.

In this episode it is a freezing cold da...

The theme song to the show was performed by Rod Burton of Rainbow fame and of course one third of the singing trio, Rod, Jane and Freddy. In this episode aired on 8th October 1987, Christopher talk...

Always enjoyed owning a dog in the past.....would never own another one, ....... First thing they say to you in a vet is not Hello..But are you insured
Recorded On Tuesday 26th April 1988 On ITV In All Of Their Regions
What if they had bumpy dog tessies friend in noddy and what if geoffrey read a noddy book with noddy tessie and pink cat and bumpy instead of tat the cat.
Isn't Bungle rude
3:17 George pulling on Georgette
This intro literally made me cry! I loved watching this in the 80s as a wee one. Thanks so much for uploading this. So many warm memories :)
Such a heartwarming episode!
Can't believe George apologised to Bungle first, Bungle was clearly being an ars*hole and taking up the whole table.
That’s what I thought.
This reminds me of how I would think and respond to a frosty day when I was young
Jade
Jane. Is. A. Sexy. Lady
Agreed
Rod and Jane were married in real.
She's been married to Freddie for a few years now.
"Are you coming, Zippy?" "Possibly, we've never had a female puppet on this show before."
13:15 ???😅
Zippy could do with reading some Simone de Beavoir
I think I remember seeing this episode when it was actually on TV!!!!
rip geoffrey
The faces are too small and narrow for these models, and it gives off the impression that they're dead and eerie. Other stopmotion shows nailed it perfectly, and I see what they were going for here, but it didn't work in this scenario.
SILLY OLD BONCE BUNGLE
Did you know that actually I remember this was shown as part of Children's ITV as late on as 1990?
I want Geoffrey's shirt
Telling kids about skating on a frozen lake , a great idea , I don't think
😂😂😂😂😂
Oh the memories 😍😀
That's because they're both made by Thames Television for ITV.
I think Rainbow is starting to have the same logos similar to Button Moon.
Brought a tear to the eye. As an 80’s kid - this brought it all back. That opening done me 😪
So no "Ohh.... you're the same as me!" from George. No even mention of the similarity from anyone else? Georgette seldom if ever appearing again? Sometimes I think the producers of 'Rainbow' didn't put much thought into back stories!! But hey, who cares, it's Rainbow!! :)
Thank u for this AWESOME sooty video!
Geoffrey's mock Irish accent had always made me laugh. I stopped watching this episode from June 1993 till I wore my cassette tape full of other episodes out around two years later. My Grandad sounded exactly the same and cos he died this episode was fast forwarded over. I love it again now tho
I met bungle Bonce a couple of years ago, down in Waitrose.. Telling me his retired now and working on his Allotment down in RedHill Surrey.
Thank you for sharing! So wonderful to see it again after all these years. I doubt there will ever be the effort, creativity and talent shown here for children's TV again.
They're so sweet! I was looking for an interview with Rainbow, the band, and came upon this - it's just as good. :)
more episodes of cockleshell bay 104 episodes please!
Bungle bonce.
Eww! George and Zippy kissed!! (vomits)
Haha Geoffrey did a Zippy impression at 0.44!
Bungle looks different in this.
oh stop moaning and being difficult Zippy! You can't stay at home on your own! Liar! You don't hate sausages. You're being difficult that's all.
Jeffery seems a bit more stressed in the later episodes.
Sooty tidying the wood up.... hahahahahahahaha
Yep remember this
Bungle is SO passive aggressive!

If there are 104 Cockleshell Bay episodes! Robin and Rosie both should grow up!
8:52 The day I jumped on the bed.... Absolutely fantastic scene!
Rod and Freddie probably fell out over Jane
Michael Hamilton wrong!
Jane can fall out for me any time.
