- In this Fishing Challenge, we go to Walmart with a budget of $100! All survival gear had to be purchased within the $100 budget! I attempt to go 24 HOURS eating ONLY what I Catch in the Saltwater from the beach!! I attempt to survive overnight only eating fish I catch and other things I can scavenge from the beach and the saltwater. I definitely did not expect this to go the way it did..

YO BRO HERES A TIP: when fishing in a beach with sand get pyramid sinkers so they dont roll and when fishing in rocky areas get circle sinkers so u dont get snagged
YO here’s a better tip
Use a sinker called a “frog tongue” it is designed to bury itself about an inch or so into the sand therefore keeping your rig stable during waves.
i recomend pyramid sinker over round sinkers as well
here's a better tip for sinkers if you are in sandy bottoms: use a surf claw sinker & or a sputnik long tail/short surf sinker! Sorry fellas, I had to... #schoolisonsession

I have to admit as someone who normally buys fishing rods and tackle from Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s, Walmart has seriously stepped up their fishing game! 🎣 😎 Especially in the past 10-15 years.
Should do 48 hour survivals. Specially when your on the road again
I SO want to see more saltwater! Especially flounder. 5 inch gulp grub on a bucktail or shiny tsunami glass minnow kills them every time

Definitely! Get a 11 or 12 wt with some heavy leaders and huge flies!
@@meganrecher6373 I just got back from the gulf going for reds and my 8wt held up fine and probably would be more comfortable for him to pick up than a 11 or 12 since he’s never done over a 5 I think.
@@bChipps that's fair, I just got an 8 wt and caught a few Pike that made it feel like a 4 wt that's why I thought what he would encounter would need a heavier rod than that
i’m possibly going on a beach trip soon and i’m bringing the fly rod i have that i’ve never caught a fish on
@@Motovation.785 depending where you are anything over a 7wt and you should be good to go. I really recommend a sealed reel though otherwise you have a rough time cleaning the sand and salt out which can lock up the reel

The tent came with a third pole. That was a lot shorter than the others. It is used to keep the rainfly away from the entrance so you don’t have to duck that much. The white section should be in front. Under it there is a little insert to but it through than the main tent poles have 1 insert on each side to stick the ends in

For the jellyfish sting, ut actually doesn't help to pee on a sting, water doesn't calm it. Preferably use vinegar if you have it.
Always pop rod tip gently 3 to 4 times. Sometimes when u cant tell if the hook is caught on grass and brush. Thats why you pop rod tip 3 to 4 times gently before desiding to set the hook. Something my dad taught me when i was a young boy learning to fish. Its the intro to fishing 101 ❤😊

Love these challenge video you should do a creek fishing video and try to only fish with lures and hooks and bait you find that either people left on the ground or trashed and what you find it would be cool to see what people leave and what you could catch stuff on!!?? Keep up the great work

Just so you know for the future. Your tent cover was backwards there should be a small pole that goes in that pole area on the cover. That keeps the cover off the door so it is easier to get out of the tent and so you can open that window to get some fresh air in the tent.

When i beach fish here in Virginia sandpigs are literally the BEST bait when the tide is coming in, they still work when tides going out, but man they are unbeatable when tide comes in

Beat mosquitoe repellent is the $2.50 tiki torch and a $8 bottle of fluid that last FOREVER and provides light at night
On the next beach survival camping trip you do you might Want to take more than one rod Because you may Want to catch different sizes of fish and that way you can have mono or Floro on the one and braid on the other So maybe you could catch some stingrays skates and sharks
The artificial blood worms are actually a really good bait because it gets a lot of bites and doesn't come off the hook easy

Throw shrimp on a high low rig if all else fails
The Berkeley gulp blood worms (red plastic ones) are scented and catch a ton of species. I use a pyramid sinker with a hi-lo rig and boom perch for days (fish taco feast)
