You learn something new every day! I’ll have to use that pool cue grip with my left hand the next time I weld on pipe that size. For me at least I’m usually welding smaller size steam pipes, so when I touch the pipe with my gloves it’s way too hot! But every now and then I’ll get the big stuff. Nice video!

Welded for45 yrs.Mainly inside Miller machines migs,tigs .Portable all Lincoln sa200 and 250.Never used a Miller on pipe .Now I see the gas company trucks with small rectifiers on them.Fighting the weld all day.Not for me.On the main pipeline there are 10 Lincoln machines to one Miller.Miller has a great customer service over Lincoln. The choice is yours ?Happy retired.

Tipo un vocabulario del soldador pipeliner/RigWelder.
Ya que hay algunos nombres, o palabras que aun en los videos en español, no los entendemos, los que vamos iniciando.

3rd gear and 35 with your arc force at 3 is cold asf bump the arc up to 8, unless you bumped that rack. You're out of parameter.

Q varilla queman para fondeo y vista ? Y a cuanto amperaje la queman? He soldado pipas de alta presión y la verdad no se q rollo con ese concepto de soldar de arriva hacia abajo.. no me lo tomen a mal ,,pero siento q el fondeo puede quedar con mucha basura,, y en lo particular no me gusta la forma de la soldadura de vista..
Entiendo q los codigos han cambiado..pero me gustaria ver q rollo con esa manera de soldar
Es que corren millas de pipa a la ves y para mas rapido solo soldan con una varilla y la inspection es un poco mas flexible la verdad se me hace mas facil que 7018

6010 no you don't weave,just a stringer with a back step essentially,7018 is either weave or stringer depends on WPS.
