  • I've made some improvements and changes to this manifold since it's been on the Skyline for a couple years. I ramde the coolant system with stainless hardlines and installed better fittings where I could.

    what did you do for the throttle cable? the one I had in the car originally doesn't reach, i got an S14 cable (supposed to be longer) but from the L bracket the cable doesnt go far enough to actually connect to the throttle body... im at a loss, it looks like our l bracket to throttle body spacing is the same...

  • @kcobabe

    Yeah all intakes, even the greddy, is made in China. I've compared them and even looked into how Japan gets their parts. Their bulk fabbed in China then sent to Japan for final machining. I was able to get the Freddy to work, but still looked awful so finally decided ISR until I can get/have time to do a plazmaman one as those are fully 1 offs built to how you want it. Lead times are long af right now for them.
    Question though, how is your car dealing with no IACV, the smaller one that is stock bolted to the coolant line, and how does it deal with the AAC going to atmosphere?

    • @BMcGuinness
      @BMcGuinness  Před 2 lety

      That's good to know and I'm not surprised most things are coming from China. Those plazmaman manifolds are nice too. That other idle air control that the coolant runs through is mainly just for warmup without an aftermarket ecu. It runs through the throttle body too so its all deleted and much cleaner. Everything is tunable with a new ecu

    • @kcobabe
      @kcobabe Před 2 lety

      @@BMcGuinness the actual IACV is that one connected to the coolant. The coolant does not actually run through it. It's just a mount point. Basically the RBs have an IACV and an AAC. Found this out while browsing Nengun Microfiche. One is for idle and the other is for idle when at idle or while auxiliary components are running. You'll notice the IACV loops to the AAC that is kind of like a double IACV. Only know about this from dealing with SR20DETs and rollers as both have the IACV and AAC.
      Anyhow, guess I'll have to figure out the tuning on the ECU Master if I run into an idle issue. Thanks for the info. I do like the stainless lines though. Good job!!

    • @BMcGuinness
      @BMcGuinness  Před 2 lety +1

      @@kcobabe Yes correct the AAC is the one that runs with coolant. All of us get rid of that to eliminate the eyesore and leaks and such. The IACV is just for the aux components like you said and does great still.
      Thanks! Really trying to come out with an available kit for people and some great other parts for these cars and 240's

    • @kcobabe
      @kcobabe Před 2 lety

      @@BMcGuinness ditto, just bought 2 large scale 3d printers. I didn't like the gauge holder I got from another manufacturer in Australia so I decided to make my own. So now I have a 5 gauge holder. I also recounted my intercooler to use tye front bumper re enforcement.
      Lots of custom fabwork required on these cars if you don't like what's out there.
      I would like to scan my Garage Yoshida environment control relocation kit so I can make em in pla or abs instead tye frp or carbon fiber they make.

      @mattbuechler8005 Honestly I didn't finalize the kit because of the complex assembly and the manifold that combines the lines and goes to the radiator isn't the best. But if someone found a company that could cnc bend lines I'd start asap!
