Bus Parade at Keighley Bus Museum Trust 30th Anniversary - 07/08/2022

Maxson Goh Films a bus parade consisting of mostly double deckers at the Keighley Bus Museum Trust 30th Anniversary Running Day event in Keighley, England. This will be the last event held at these premises as the collection will be moving soon, and the parade is a way to commemorate being there since 2005.
The Volvo Olympian, seemingly the youngest bus at the event, would be a familiar sight to bus enthusiasts from Singapore as the have very similar Alexander bodywork.

The first red colour double decker bus i think got took before during 1985 or 1988. That is when sbs still retain some old double decker buses for revenue service. It was fun that time.

A whole assortment of buses from the 50s to the 90s (the Olympian is the latest one) across different brands. 😍
How beautiful the bus preservation culture is in the UK, sadly Singapore cannot have such things...... 😢

SG future buses from Volvo will all be Electric. Although i did heard rumors Volvo buses are more expensive than MAN, BYD & Yutong Buses and heard LTA might not buy anymore from them. Could be wrong, with our Scania K230UB currently ungoing mass retirement and in the coming years, the MAN A22, Citaros & OC500LE, there will be mass purchase of buses to replace them, so lta might opt to purchase from "cheaper" brands or something with our Citaros. The ones from SMRT are more expensive compared to the sbs ones which is likely one of the many reasons why sbs at the time was able to mass purchase them. Also nice to see buses being treated like how they should be in the uk...hope more SG buses get preserved or maybe lta change their mind on preservation(hopefully)

Hope Singapore buy a mixture of European,Japanese and China electric or hybrid or hydrogen buses instead of all china buses as china buses will tends to break down or burn when the warranty or the effective usage period ends.

@@xianyao25 So far the Yutong buses seems to be the most reliable(Strong aircon and comfortable seats) so far. Hopefully Yutong will be one of the brands LTA considers. Mercedes Benz will likely still be purchase from by lta for future buses. And also lta had pledge that they will only primary buy electric buses from now on. Although hybrid and the future Euro 7 buses might be consider(Coz Cross border services would be a problem as currently ebuses do not have capability to run on them)
In my opinion, other china brands except yutong doesnt seem that good tbh

@@ljd2004 electric buses won't last long cause of you still need fossil fuels to generate electricity. Unless you go nuclear. I think in the future will be European and Japanese as they now testing the hydrogen buses. This is a old technology yet will be helpful to lessen the carbon taxes.
