What the hell? I've played warband for nearly 500 hours now and had no clue relations with villages actually did anything. Cheers man, this was a great video even for someone "experienced".
BROOOOO im 1300 HOURS IN YEARS OLD and just now figuring out that Relations gives better troops wtf
i knew it gave more but i didnt know it gave better troops
Rookie numbers
same...
Oh yeah, the villages relations when positive can get hella good. One time I got like 25 recruits in one go from just one village, but even I never knew you could get better troops
6k hours in mount and blade and still watching this......my parents are proud...i hope
I’m proud bro.
I am son.
Now i will give you more allowance money
I am but I don't know who the hell are you but I am proud
Rule 1 never fight a naked man with a big ass sword
You are very wise

Mount & Blade seems to be trending again.
Somehow I have managed to catch the bus this time.
The magic school bus
You're talking a lot of Rhodok propaganda in the range of my lance.
he is in the range of my 800 vaegir marksmen
Swadia still the best
@Mette B can't argue enough
@Mette B lol okay tell that to the highest ai difficulty, nothing beats a swadian charge
Stalker?
Played the game probably a few thousand hours now, never invested into businesses since the system seemed complex. Did become king of Swadia and field an army of around 800 knights though. Damn, I love this game
How did you get your party limit so high?
@@Magaman117 Hella' renown. That's all you need in the late game
@@fdumbass seems like it takes forever to get renown up there I'm on day 2700 and can only get 133 guys
@@Magaman117 Yeah sorry, my bad. I don't have 800 knights in my party at one time, I have them garrisoned across my towns and castles. I usually have about 200 something in my party at one time, and replace them with the garrisoned ones if I go under my party limit
@boaz v Yeah, I, being a true patriot to my country, and seeing Harlaus feasting as our people was being slaughtered, I revolted and remade the Kingdom of Swadia with myself as the king. This stopped the wars with the foreign powers, and gave our kingdom time to rebuild
Actually both castles and towns controll villages and what faction owns them, but castles are usually more for strategic defense and technically harder to take.
For the player it is a place to call own that does part of what a town does.
Don't listen to the communities when you're a new player. There's a lot this game doesn't tell or do and you'll need a lot of investment to get into it.
Also, PATHFINDING is a must if you go warlord and don't want to be forced to fight anything that crawls on the map.
It's almost harvesting season!
Thats a nice head you have in your shoulders

Nearly 500 hours between the three M&Bs so far, and I didnt know you could turn companions into lords. Very, very good to know

Wait,....WAIT A MINUTE!......you mean to tell me that you fucked up SO BADLY..that you broke the very fabric of time and space....and somehow got one of your presents stuck in a toaster!?......HOW? i mean...WHAT? D:!

i have 700 hours in the game but still decided to watch this

You had way too much fun making this.
You bastard.
PS - loved this, would love an advanced AI tutorial like this. Knowing how to split troops up, nuke them move around the map better, etc.
I bought Warband because of all of the hype of Bannerlord. Since Warband seemed easier and funnier, I got into it. After 3 hours I still didn't knew what to do. Thank you very much for the video bro
4:08 Party skills can stack with each other. By taking the character with the highest party skill and adding SOME of your characters skill to the total. Also trainer is not a party skill, it's a personal skill and makes a big difference in getting fresh recruits to level up quicker.

Loved your little ending with Kenshi in the end :)
you forgot to mention how YOUR sides AI is absolute garbage, and attempting to ever let a battle auto-calculate so you dont have to spend 20 minutes killing 10 bandits, will result in you losing half your troops. every. fucking. time.
Have you tried fightong then backing out when you lose ground but before you lose men?
“Rhodoks are the best faction” lol
Butterlods=best lord's. Harlauses horde is damn near unbeatable with your aid

Excellent look at Warband and explanation of the mechanics with so many great tips and all in a fun manner too! Love the hell out of this game, and the mods, omg LOTR, Warhammer, GOT, Feudal Japan, Star Wars, the Old West, hell almost if you can think of it someone made a mod or attempted one lol. Most are damn well done though, now so close to Bannerlord, my excite level is hard to contain, and you just poured some nostalgic gasoline on it. xD
Hey, you forgot that you can bring up a control menu in battles by pressing backspace. It makes controlling battles much smoother
Using swadia cavalery cuz im nob but im with the rodocks.
11/10 recommend it
It's funny going back to your roots now that you're essentially a History Channel
Thank you you really help me to be better at the games you do these guides
I've never took any castle or city without cheats like Ctrl+H and Ctrl+L. But recently i tried to capture Shariz without cheats from Khergits because I hated them the most (still do it, but not that much). I just took 15 infantry with some armor (mostly swadian militiaman, but there was like 5 of man at arms), 30 swadian skirmishers, 5 vegirian archers and 5 trained rodocks crossbowman and then said to infantry to move under the wall, while ordered to archers to go back and spread out. It was a massacre for enemy. My archers didn't let them posibility to shot. When archer ran out of ammo i ordered my infantry to assault. In this battle we lost 5 guys killed and 3 wounded on normal damage to AI and player. Enemy lost 189 man killed 7 wounded. And then Sarranid Sultanat came to me with 709 men. I lost everything
Great siege my lord
An important note once you form your own kingdom is that you need a claim to declare war on another kingdom without angering your vassals and these are often a village is mistreated the best to get a claim is having a high relation with a village another kingdom controls
just subscribed actually helped me out voice wasnt anoyying is funny think if hes given the right opportunity he will sky rocket in subs in no time

I love this game so much, but it hurts me how outdated it is. I. Can't wait to play bannerlord.

i see a lot of people never actually played rhodoks; they are massively op. they naturally counter what would be the best faction in the game, they're tanky, and they have the best ranged units, because bows were underpowered as fuck.
As far as training the troops goes, I usually hire Lezalit and make him the head trainer
so im looking for bandits and cant find any,ive just ridden from one side of the map to the other looking for a fight and now im broke and my army is desserting, loving this game.
How did you not find bandits. They should be on the field

finally ! a nice funny and also usefull guide on this game! nice
Me with over 1k hours in the game: interesting video... let's watch it!
The best way to get starting money fast is to have hi looting and ransom as possible and then start to steal cows. Then if you have big enough army you can loot villages for butter.
me finding out now about guild masters: time to play
you didnt talk about MODS?!
if you're nord you can win sieges by yourself.
only a limited number of troops can be on the battlefield at a single time which is why they send troops in waves.
huscarls will evaporate enemy troops and the veterens and warriors arnt half bad themselves.
also some castles only have the one ladder and no siege tower (like grunwalder) so if you can grab those first when their garrisons will be much lower, it'll be easier in the long run when they eventually have to split their forces for the siege.
My guy
this channel is brilliant. thank you for making these vids :)

By the way, if you want to help the channel grow, please share the videos. It helps way more than you'd think, and I appreciate any help people are willing to give.

@@CallMeEzekiel Great video, as always, but just one thing - you used the troop tree from the first M&B, not Warband.
glad to hear bill sutton
Im subing now just for you telling me about enterpise
just get rhodok sharpshooters and put them near the edge of the map and when the enemies close in just retreat if you get enough first aid then you can do this a couple of times and get no casualties
this was a great wideo thank zou soo much
74 achievements out of 80.
Better troops from villages with high relations? What sorta evil butter magic is this?
Sarranid Master Archers aren't "subpar", though. They barely fall behind the Vaegirs (the actual best faction you filthy Rhodok), and their archers are good in different ways. While the Vaegir Marksmen use War Bows, which are giant longbows about as tall as they are, the Master Archers use Strong Bows and Nomad Bows, which fire much more quickly while not losing much in terms of damage.
Definitely a valid point!
However, I would say that there are a lot of situations in which the faster rate of fire is a disadvantage such during a siege or other type of prolonged battle. I suppose the sup-par classification makes more sense when compared to all ranged units, including crossbowmen. All the same, (nearly) every unit has its uses.
@@CallMeEzekiel A valid point as well, but the "hold fire" command exists for a reason. The AI is stupid, just shoot the when they get in range and enjoy the machine gun effect - if you do not fire until then, no shields will be deployed and the first volley will *decimate* (in a literal sene, as it will destroy a tenth of the army) the enemy.
I'm pretty sure the guy narrating the video is the guy playing Luke Dunphy in Modern Family.
I'm 110% sure.
Great vid, I learned alot, keep it up mate.
Also, what did you do to get your honor so high? I am basically a mercenary at heart so war profiteering is my thing, my honor is therefore total shit.
Additionally, I don't understand why shepherds slings and staff slings are not in the game, idk why they would exclude these weapons as they were a major part of the medieval battlefield.
i wouldnt call the sarranid guard average they have insane swing speeds with their axes considering if u manage to spawn them
6:55 Rhodoks is my shit! The high ground makes everything much easier, you take it and let your core force of crossbowmen massacre the enemy as the trudge slowly up the slope, also massively decreases the advantages of cavalry.
Weapon proficience increase attack speed of mele weapons and acuracy of ranged weapons.
Nice vid.
I cannot wait until Bannerlord! Only a few weeks until it comes out!!! XD
I remember making around 35k a week on one of my old saves. For some reason Harlaus was in love with me and gave me over half his kingdom. All got a bit too much really
a game that can run on any pc, but requires alot of things to memorize and familiarize
Looking forward to the Kenshi tutorial - it'll be a hard one to make.
On a scale from one to Dwarf Fortress, Kenshi is about a Vic2, or an 8for getting into. Warband is a 5, CK2 is a 6, HoI4/EU4/Stellaris are a 7.
Wtf you talking about, hoi4 and eu4 are a lot less complex than ck2.
5:55 If you use your imagination some of them are pretty comely.

After playing bannerlord a lot i really miss warband.
Is it just me or does bannerlord fele sonewhat empty?
@@kylefer no it feels empty. Warband was a lot simpler but still fun cuz you learnt the name of almost every Lord there was.
As much as I love warband, I hope they make Bannerlord a worthy successor to the game series
the multiplayer community on xbox is amazing so many trolls and ddosers lol
This was a very good video, but I disagree with what you said about buying businesses. Purchasing the dye-works is always the best option since it on average has the highest earnings per pay period. If you go to buy a dye-works and it is projected to make no money or lose money, just move to the next town and come back to the earlier town later. The amount of money you earn from businesses fluctuate.
To cheeZe sieges one way is to set battle size in the menu to the minimum just before you assault and that will allow you to get in far sooner and makes things a lot easier. For field battle I always had a million Swadian knights so having max battle size is more efficient there. Essentially you’re trying to inflict maximal damage via numbers in field battles and mass heavy cavalry are great at that. Heavy cav is also just hard to counter and swadian knights in my experience still do great in sieges. Another pro tip is that in order to minimize losses in battles is to do a retreat midway through. You have to imagine that if you have high quality troops with let’s say 100 hp and the enemy has a troops with 70 hp initially your troops will outlast the enemy but after the initial wave of combat let’s say your troops have 30 hp left. The reinforcing waves of fresh enemies now have 70 hp and you’ll take losses but if you do a mid battle retreat ,if you’ve done enough casualties you’ll be allowed to continue the battle again and your troops will have recovered hp.
Ahh yeah the Swadian cavalry.
Hella expensive but enough to clash two armies at once.
All hail King Harlaus!
I WILL DRINK FROM YOUR SKULL
yusha thomas is in this video no frickin way
How do you raise/lower rents and tariffs
Do actual battle tactics influence the battle? Flanking, retreat to archer trap etc etc
Yes. However, battles start with the two sides very close together, and AI troops automatically know each other's locations - making strategic-level maneuvers ineffective. However, tactical-level strategies are still valid. For example... soldiers hold their shields in their left hands. This means that positioning your archers on their right (your left) will make your archers hit more often.
I hope this helps!

How do I heal myself and my horse who died in battle?
send me 5000 million trillion and a half dollars
You can’t, you gotta use the hp you have wisely, you got a second chance to win if you still have men able to fight in your army after you get knocked out the first time, your health will be severely downed though
@@trentburkhart3917 true lol
You'll be healing yourself automatically once you're out of the battle, just give your character some time to rest. Companions with the wound management skill makes the recovery faster.
best battle ever ,simple , good and a lot of shouting ...players love it and there is a lot of mods
I see u didn’t tell them about the swadian knights
So OP. I had like 35 swadian mounted knights and pretty much couldn't ever lose a fight, even if the enemy army had 2x more troops
I wish i watched it years ago 😭
Let's just say my Nords fear no faction.. but we definitely don't siege Rhodok castles and just sorta try to ignore them.
But which is better? Kenshi or Mount&Blade
Unless they changed it since you made this video, the game does tell you the Guild Masters and villages will give you quests. You just have to talk to a Tavern Keeper, which is one of the first things I did after the first fight. Talking to a Tavern Keeper and the people in the tavern is pretty standard first thing to do, if you've played these kinds of games before, other than a quest giver.
Rq what should i do when i start. Should i just attack bandits and get support from villages
what i do is recruit a somewhat small army and then attack bandits to get some extra gold

I hope this helps!
If you decide to start your own kingdom make sure that you make note of your right to rule
If it is too low or you have companions as vassal not of noble birth you will have a shit ton of factions declare war on you
Like rn for my daimyo edition playthrough I'm married into a clan and I've spent alot of time serving the takeda, however even though I'm past day +250 ik I'm not ready to start yet because i wont be able to hold off anything because theres atleast 4 clans that would love to capture me (eliminated alot of their allies and took some of what are now they're best vassals land, like hamamstsu my town, the last lord went and joined the Ikko Ikki, well the Ikko Ikki dont like me nor do their allies (took some of their shit and ransomed their lords too) and hes marshal, ik for a fact hed call a war party for it
Until I build a high enough relation with some neighboring vassals and clans I'm holding off on it
All you need is 40 marksman you can take any city just by shooting the enemies off the wall you will kill about 70 be4 running out of ammo then just back out do it again untell the city is taken
yea i found out that on my own that killing defenders with ranged troops is best way to take castles, but the best units for that is rhodok sharpshooters tbh cuz of their rly good armor, u get minimal casualties
A bit too gamey for most. But yeah there are some castles who are almost impossible to take down without doing this.
I just had my army of 50 (cavalry, bowmen and heavy infantry) destroyed sooo I sorta fugged it
